》》Jason Dutton《《 Three months had passed, Adrian was a great queen, she was in great control, she knew how to handle everything and everyone. A really fast leaner. But in my life, she was everything. She whispers, both of them closing their eyes as their faces become drenched with tears. [Translation: my little flower] After what seemed like eternity, the woman had finally gained the courage to separate herself from her child. She stood up, making sure to close the closet doors in hopes of hiding her daughter's location. Isabella was able to peek through the small crack of her closet. Her eyes following her mother's figure with a longing glance as her hands cover her mouth, trying to silence her own sobs. Stifling her cries

I tried to walk past but they blocked my way. "Great! a dumb too" "Gardenia stop it" a male voice boomed. "Why should I. If a common half-breed has the opportunity to rule us, I think I have a chance too" so that was her problem. She wanted to be Thane's mate. "The king needs a strong queen not a weakling. An asset. The people need a strong queen not a puny half-breed who can't even stand up for herself" some murmurs of approval was heard. For the first time in my life, I felt extreme hate for another person. Intense anger burned through me. I clenched my fists tightly and met her eyes.

Because the truth was, a mate who rolled over and accepted this without question wouldn't be worthy of them. But a mate who looked three Alpha Kings in the eye and told them to get the hell off her property? That was a queen. Whether she knew it yet or not.

My attention was entirely fixed on the woman standing in the center of the chamber, power radiating from her like heat from the sun. This was my mate. My Luna. The mother of my child. Magnificent. “Vincent,” I said, my voice carrying the full authority of an Alpha who had just realized his mate could likely destroy every wolf present without effort, “I believe you were departing.” He struggled against the invisible force restraining him, but Selene’s dominance was absolute. With a subtle motion, she released him, and he staggered backward, his face pale. “This is not finished,” he managed. “Yes,” Selene replied calmly, “it is.”

“Is there anything we can do for you?” I forced a small smile, shaking my head. “Thank you, but I am fine. Just needed a bit of fresh air.” The woman nodded, giving me a warm smile before returning to her tasks. I watched her go, my mind racing with thoughts of Tariq and his plans. I was supposed to be this pack’s queen, their Luna. But in reality, I was just a pawn in Tariq’s game. The thought made me feel sick. Another pack member approached, bowing slightly as he greeted me. “Good morning, Queen Leah,” he said, his tone reverent. The words made me feel uneasy.

I had adored chess since an early age. To manoeuvre your pieces in an effort to undermine your opponent. Victory was the only objective. The queen would protect her king, who wasn't able to move much. By doing so, she was the most powerful piece on the board. I was still considered a queen. An abducted queen, but queen none the less. My powers were cut short. Limitations placed on the spaces I was allowed to move. That didn't mean I wasn't able to move at all. But it felt suffocating to know that I had
