I intend to make sure to let you know the word YOLO. You only live once. Life should be cherished. It's not a game to play with it. Another burst of cheer when the human defeated a Beugerast, a rock-like monster who has a brain of a chicken but can crush a human with a left hand that is larger than the right. After the monster is defeated, the human collapses. And it's not just a man, but a woman who had participated. Every monster used for this coliseum fight surprises me. It's hard for humans to take down one monster, but Megan had taken each type of monster all over for this fight.

Mike tried to say. "Don't you get it? I don't deserve to be helped, I'm a monster." he said amidst tears, he can't stop himself from crying. He just couldn't, he had hurt that innocent girl. He doesn't deserve to live, "I'm a monster," he kept saying repeatedly, Maria couldn't stop herself from breaking down. She can't bear to see her son like this, It was breaking her heart. Chris kept screaming and shouting at them "Mr Williams I need your help, I need you to hold him for me while I sedate him" Mike said.

BECCA. The whole entrance fell apart as well as the walls when the monster on his two limbs walked in. Unlike wolves that are always on their four limbs. This monster had long fangs protruding in front of his mouth. He was scary but there was nothing scarier than seeing my mom being held by him. “Leave her out of this, Magdon!” I screamed at him, getting angrier. He turned to me and growled at my face before I saw him freeze looking at something behind me. I trace his gaze and saw that he was looking at his daughter on the floor.

The day that would have marked the beginning of a lifetime for us. Closing my eyes, I heaved a long exhale and propped my head against the headboard. Even though the curtained darkness of closed lids, it was her face was floated in—over and over again. It was the first time I realized that I might wear the skin of a monster, but my heart was still human. And I belonged to her. The pain that hit me came in waves. It clawed under my skin, infused with the blood in my veins, and drilled into the marrow of my bones until the ache made me hollow inside out.

I muttered, scared that if the monsters spread how I had come to Raven's room, it'd get to the hearing of both Lucian and Thorne. "Is that what you want?" he asked softly, cupping my face in his cold, steady hands. My eyes reached for his, and I nodded my head. "Alright. I will be right back. Once I talk to them, they won't say a word." With that, he went out of his room. With just one word from him, every monster on the fifth floor came out from their various rooms. Somewhere were vampires, ghouls, and somewhere dragons. I stood by the door, listening to the conversation he was having with them.

Busted. I stared at my phone, suddenly wondering if I had gone too far. He looked… annoyed. Just as I hesitated, a new message popped up from Liam. It was a sticker—a cartoon puppy in a yellow hat, eagerly nodding over a water bowl, and above its head were two bold words: "Mm-hmm!" I froze. A bold thought suddenly struck me— was Liam seriously searching for a cute sticker to send me just now? The very next message confirmed my suspicion.

And that terrified him. Kristen had looked at him like he was more than a monste, like he was a good man. And deep down, he believed her. But belief is dangerous. It makes you soft. And softness is fatal in his world. Carlo collapses into a chair, overwhelmed. He’s a feared man, a killer. But now he’s haunted by the memory of Kristen’s breathless gasp, the warmth of her skin, and the sound of her crying behind a locked door.

Yet now, faced with the cruel truth, the pain was unbearable. After saying that, Mom grabbed me by the collar. Her expression twisted with malice as she snarled, "Hand over the money, or don't bother calling me 'Mom'!" I wiped my tears and let out a cold laugh. "Fine." That single word made her freeze. When she came to her senses, a dark, vicious gleam flickered in her eyes. The next second, there was a deafening crack against my skull. Darkness swallowed my vision whole. When I woke up again, I couldn't see a thing.

“Never approach me when I am like that again. You do not understand what I am capable of.” Anger flashed in Bailey’s eyes. “I just helped you and you pushed me away?” “You do not understand,” I repeated coldly. “Leave it.” She lifted her chin with defiance. “Is this why they call you the Monster King?” I met her gaze and felt the weight of ten years press down on me. “No. They call me the Monster King because of what I did after I stopped fighting the monster.”
