It is said that if you follow a plan step by step that it should not fail, so why do we find ourselves facing an empty void of nothing? If this man is casting these spells in the order that it should be done, then there should be a rip in reality, a tear from which bright light should come. But instead, we are standing at the entrance of the crypt, where many of the elder Vampires have come to their final resting place. Perhaps he just finds himself to be slow, or he is having trouble in performing the spell as they do become more difficult the stronger they become.

She believed sometimes knowledge and curiosity would put someone's life at risk and she didn't want to drag anyone along with her crazy obsession about supernatural beings. With her secret collection, she knew that the prominent kind residing with humans were vampires. They were categorized in three categories. Pureblooded were those who were born as vampires with parents who were both vampires, they were the strongest. Turned vampires, humans who went through transition. And half-vampires, those who were fruits of the union of vampires and humans.

The spell was the only way to subdue the urge of blood thirst in a vampire and bring it to its knees. "She's not like a regular vampire. She's strong, I can't let her go now, she'll still run out and feed on our people. I can't let that happen," Queen Elara said, dejectedly and kept on reciting the spell. If Lorraine had been a regular vampire, by now, she would have already been drained of power and would be hovering in pain but no, she was still standing, fighting the spell.

This notation explained that this was because one could only perform ritual magic on the living.

I can go to the volkaanes and try to bring one of them back here to destroy you. Their fire is the only power I know that can do so for certain now. Or, I can try to draw a vampire here to complete your transformation. Blink once for death, twice for vampire.” Kristi did not have to think very long. Vampires were cool, at least in her books.
