Rem let out another hum of thought before he looked back down to me, his hand finding the back of my head and softly stroking it, almost affectionately. I hadn’t quite explained the story Elder Roz had told me, but Rem could get the basic idea from my thoughts. After a moment he said, “reincarnation doesn’t happen too often, and usually depends on the God or spirits involved, but it does and has happened before. Maybe that’s why this is all familiar, or maybe not. I know we’ll be fine, it’s just unsettling a little.”
