Her screams were coming from behind the door and he felt a new chill of ice it was way up his spine until it grabbed ahold of his brain. Riyin’s eyes flashed a bright red and he could feel his entire body begin to burn up. He took one step back, breathed out hot air from his nostrils, then took two giant leaps before crashing against the door. Riyin burst out amidst flying splinters and smoke. His eyes had adjusted to the black smoke and he could see now, ears perched up to listen. Just as his eyes scanned their tiny cottage, he heard the sound of a struggle, it seemed to be coming from his father’s study and Riyin raced towards it.

"I could have solved two of them: one, Lance, by hexing his freaking wolf ass, and two, Zain. I hate him. I could have done even worse to him." "You hate everyone," I replied with the roll of my eyes. "I don't." She argued. "You do," I retorted. "Whatever," She said. "I only have such feelings for Lance and Zain. I don't even hate Vesper as I used to before." "Why?" I asked her, then added, "Please don't tell me because you want us to have wolf babies." "Because I do," Riley said. "Did I tell you my powers come with foresight? Oh, I didn't say that. Well, it was an interesting observation I witnessed recently."

"But when Riley hung up on Volkov, she was braver than I've ever been. She chose faith over fear." Riley's eyes fill with tears. "I was terrified, Brett. She reaches across the space between our chairs. "I have you, and Lily, and this life we've built together. That's worth fighting for." Our hands meet in the middle, and for the first time in days, I feel like we're on the same team again.

I interjected. Ryan laughed. “Or even smell good… she basically has to play the numbers game and hit on a lot of women. But Riley is perfectly willing to hit on a LOT of women, all day, all night. Plus, she’s dominant and she never gives up. Which seems to do pretty well for her.” I shivered, thinking what horrors the phrase She never gives up might hold in store for me. “Still.” “Yeah, well, alcohol helps, too,” Ryan grinned.

She sees a LOT, but unlike Aunt Grace, the filter on her mouth is nearly non-existent.

Evelyn appeared again, blocking the far end, device in hand. “You may have survived Harper… but you can’t survive me,” Evelyn said. Before Lila could react, another figure stepped out of the shadows. Heart hammering, Lila recognized them immediately. It was Riley, her eyes cold, calculating, aura brimming with power. “You’ve caused enough trouble,” Riley said. “Time to end this.”

Riley gave him a firm nod of acknowledgement. "Of course, why not" she agreed. It's her mistake that she slept in. So she doesn't have any other choice but to train with the gamma. If she is early, then she would have got a chance to choose her partner. But now, she should accept what she is given. "Very good. Let's begin" Justin rubbed his palms together and loosened his wrists to begin the fight. Riley tied her hair into a high ponytail to avoid them getting into her face. She stood in position and decided to let her gamma make the first move.

"And I will punish those who had tried to hurt you." "I know that's today." Riley's jaws clenched as she said, "I want to see. I want to see them suffer for trying to even touch me." Adrian gasped. He paused and clarified, "Are you sure bout that? Can you handle it?" "I want to be involved in every aspect of your world, including being strong enough to face your adversaries. So yes, I'll toughen up because I am Riley King, your wife," she declared.

“He’s gone.” “Look at you. Glowing.” Riley smacked my arm. “Glowing and doing heroic shit for your cougar.” I rolled my eyes and gave her a playful shove. “Stop calling her that.” “Oh, come on.” Alex nudged me with his elbow. “You saved her career. You hacked a system, exposed a predator, and got the girl. That’s like… hot boy vigilante behavior.” “Is this what being loved looks like?” Riley said with mock sincerity. “Because it’s making me emotional.”

Their faces were flushed red, their bodies were all wounded, and they were so tired that they could hardly even lift their hands!
