Hunted
Jade looked skeptical, but I leaned close, desperation clawing up my throat.
“Riley, wake up!” My voice was rough, almost a growl. He barely stirred, his head rolling to the side, lips parting on a faint groan. But I knew if I got close enough, maybe I could reach him.
Bending down, my lips brushed his ear. “Riley, wake up,” I whispered, and I felt his body jolt.
His eyes flickered open, glowing yellow eyes unfocused, but I didn’t waste a second. “What’s your blood type?” My fingers tightened on his shoulders, practically willing him to answer.
