The beast groans, inducing terror in me, wrecking my cool. Why does he seem so curious?

What is wrong with me? I kick the patchy ground as I walk away from the sexy Lycan. I can't believe I am acting like this. It's disgusting! Nathan was my best friend. My boyfriend since grade school. He died brutally, and I am acting like he never existed because some hot guy doesn't like to wear clothes.

A mammoth of strength and wickedness that opened the bullet of his large jaws to bellow waves of rage toward me as I sprinted to meet him, slapping his disciples out of the way like they were all but flies in my salad. Thoughts of my best friend, the golden fuzz of his hair, the way he always had a comeback and a half ready for every affront, and the gleam of his brilliant smile that I would never see again swirled in my head as I jumped, flying over the heads of the beast’s minions. I stifled a grunt as I landed heavily on my hind legs, shaking myself out as the boy circled me, the silence now absolute, save for our loud, frenzied breathing.

He finally accepts we’re one body.” My eyes widened at his reveal. I couldn’t even believe my ears, in any way. “No more fights?” “No more.” he replied, kissing my cheeks, with his silver-grey eyes locking with mine afterwards. My eyes narrowed, after I noticed his appearance. My mate looked different, his aura was more confident, and that made my heart soften.

The blonde guy scolded him. My eyes widen, I thought no one was allowed to talk to him that way? "She talks way too much" The beast snarled back, oh so the beast name is Damien? I expected his name to be a dog or something the next thing I knew I was fling across the room. He had moved so fast I didn't realize it until my back and shoulder hurt like tiny needles had been starb into me. I cried out in pain wondering what I did wrong, the beast eyes had somehow changed to black and the blond guy quickly shove him out of the room before helping me up.

"Tell them I'll call back within the hour. I need to finish here first." The boy nodded once, sharply, and backed out of the room. The door clicked shut behind him. Robin turned back to me, expression hardened. "You still haven't answered my question. Who are you really?" I kept my face neutral. "Just an omega who knows how to survive." "No omega takes out twenty rogues alone," Robin said flatly. "Not even the strongest fighters in my pack could do that without casualties." "Maybe your pack isn't as strong as you think."
