A U T H O R N O T E I wanted to address the few comments I've received from people frustrated with me only posting a chapter at a time. When Rude Awakenings was signed three months ago, I had just given birth to my third child. I vastly underestimated how popular it would be, and thought I would have a lot more time to write a sequel. Seeing the overwhelming response for Book Two, I made the decision to post my chapters as I write them. Believe me when I say I completely understand how frustrating it is to wait for a chapter, especially when you are so engrossed in a story, but I wanted you all to know that every piece of spare time I have, is spent writing

Numbness settled over me, it was all I could do to breathe, to stay awake. The bastard flipped my skirts up, and started unbuttoning his pants. I had to stop this, I had to move to do something. Moving my fingers through over the forest floor I felt around in the dirt for anything to save myself with. I only found a small stick, no longer than a dinner fork but sharp enough to cut my fingers on. Hope bloomed in my chest, I could stop him, I would stop him. "Don't worry Scarlet it will only hurt a little bit. And when you die, I promise that I'll make it, quick and painless." he swore coldly in my ear, his voice gleeful at the fact that he had complete power over me.

*** In his room, on the tenth floor of the magnificent Stanwood building which stood proudly in the middle of the vast land of the Stanwood Pack, a naked Alpha Philip Harrington paced. He’d had a fierce run but still felt restless. He didn’t understand why Travis…or Troy or whatever he called himself, made him so angry. Maybe it was because they were close to having a full moon. That would understandably intensify his emotions. But that notwithstanding, no one had managed to get him so angry so quickly in his thirty-three years of existence. The boy knew the exact buttons to push to get him into furyland.

☆★★☆☆★★☆☆★★☆☆★★☆ Ten minutes later, thanks to my directionally challenged brain, I enter the stupid, dark room I woke up in earlier only to find a woman already waiting for me, a small notepad cradled in the nook of her arm. "Who the fuck are you," I ask. My frustration levels are at an all-time high, and interaction with anyone is the last thing I need right now. The woman turns to face me, I give her an inquiring look, but she mumbles something under her breath. "Sorry?" "Hi, I'm Natalie, nice to meet you. Max told me you were awake, what he failed to mention, however, was that you were awake with an attitude" The mention of Max makes me seethe.
