Trembling, she clutches onto her blanket, feeling paralyzed with fear and uncertainty. Sunny shouts, Please leave me alone! " But the spirits pay no heed to her pleas; their whispers only intensify. Desperate, Sunny frantically searches for a way to escape the haunting presence, her heart pounding in her chest. Sunny gets off the couch and runs to the corner of the room, looking around while hearing eerie whispering. She's scared to move, fearing that any sudden change might provoke the spirits further.

A disconcerting symphony echoed in the form of creepy, scary footsteps, their ominous rhythm making its way over dry, crunchy leaves. The steps, an unwelcome cadence, approached swiftly, each one amplifying the sense of impending dread. My heart, a heavy drum in my chest, plummeted to the pit of my stomach, leaving me trembling. Profuse beads of sweat formed on my forehead, a testament to the intensity of the fear gripping me. The serenity of the moment shattered, replaced by a haunting uncertainty, as the footsteps drew nearer, casting a dark shadow over the once-peaceful scene.

Aaron asks, giving me a mischievous smile. I take a deep breath. “Yeah, that sounds fun.” I say trying to sound convincing. “You don’t sound to excited.” Aaron says chuckling. “I honestly hate watching scary movies in the theater.” I admit. “It is just so creepy, and I feel like everyone is just waiting for the right time to snatch you up.” Aaron burst off laughing. “Wow you are super paranoid, aren’t you?” I laugh slapping his chest playfully. “I can’t help it.”

It was slow, deliberate, and chillingly intimate. I pulled my face in disgust, instantly rolling my eyes. My fear was quickly replaced by a sudden annoyance. If their goal was to scare me, they should've come up with something a lot more creative. "If you’re trying to scare me, you’re going to have to work a lot harder than that.
