Slowly, I made my way along the dirt path I’d seen Shane walk through a countless amount of times. When I rounded the corner, I was faced with the servant’s quarters. One of these houses belonged to Shane. I walked and walked until a silhouette in the corner of my eye caused me to pause. She stood in front of a house and I immediately knew who she was without having ever shared a word with her. She was his mirrored image. Her hair was long and her face held his same sharp features. The difference was in the eyes, hers were a piercing gray. Almost like the color of lightning when it struck the earth. The flash before the yellow.

Rosemary shouted. As Chantelle ran out, tears kept coming, no matter how hard Chantelle tried to hold them back. She felt so overwhelmed and alone. How could she possibly get everything done in time? I walked to the driver and smiled. “Caren Inc please” I slipped into the car and he drove off. Caren Inc was a large office building, it wasn’t so popular but I already felt a homy feeling around it. I stepped out of the car and walked into the building. I headed straight for the receptionist, a tall blonde woman with huge spectacles. Her tag said Mrs. Helen Mayer. “hey, I’m Camila Santiago and I applied for a job here” she glanced through some files and smiles.

She asked. Damian simply nodded. He got out of the car, not letting go of Amelia's hand. Amelia followed Damian without a word. She looks at their hands that were intertwined before feeling herself blush. 'He's still holding it' she thought to herself. Both of them entered a store that seemed extravagant that only serves the top elite. A girl who was wearing a uniform with a pin on her chest that says 'manager', immediately recognizes Damian as she walks towards them. "Good morning. Welcome to our store. You must be Mr. Castillo. I'm the manager and I will be assisting you today" the girl introduced herself with a smile.

Only after they disappeared did the realization hit me fully. I had been laughing — drinking — and casually talking with Mrs.Harrison, one of the wealthiest, most influential women in the country, without knowing who she was. And she had treated me with more warmth in ten minutes than Mrs.Sutton had given me in six years. “Mommy!” I looked up. Finn and Daisy waved wildly from the long, beautifully decorated table near the stage. “Come sit! Come, Mommy!” Finn called. I walked toward them, smiling — but as I approached the empty chair beside Rowan, Clio’s eyes cut toward me like a blade.

My shaky voice was filled with anger. "Does telling lies meant anything to you?..." He hissed. "Does deceiving other people to impress them meant anything to you?" His gaze met mine as he walked closer towards me. My breath itched. "Kelsi, does running into delvin's arm shamelessly meant anything to you?" He leaned his head closer to me. What was her excuse for looking so sour all of a sudden? "Sherry is an intern and she will work with me at the office." So? If she is working at the office, why is she suddenly here? First that Grace woman, now this chick with a fruit name. "Sherry this is Dolores, she is handling my personal things from home, anything you need to know about me, do not hesitate to call or email her." Why was she introduced with last name and all while all I had was my stupid name?

He assumed that there is probably another artiste that she will manage that he has not been informed yet. "Oh! Aren't you Jay Boone, the newly debuted actor?", A crispy voice asked him. The lady was wearing a peach coloured top and as she stood up, he saw that she was wearing a skirt of the same colour and she looked very professional. " Wow, you look more handsome in person", She said. "You are....", He asked. " Oh! Don't mind me. I'm Cynthia Bradford ", She said.And added, stretching her hand. "I will be your manager starting now", She said.

“Verbally, of course. They won’t risk a war. But trust me, those two hate each other.” Naomi kept talking, but her words blurred in my ears. Two powerful Alphas. I forced myself to breathe slowly.
