"By the champagne fountain." I took a slow sip from my glass and let my gaze drift casually to the right. Standing in the shadows of the arched doorway was Skylar Quinn Caiside. He was a high-ranking warrior from the Silver Moon pack and one of Caomh’s most fiercely loyal guards. Skylar’s dark eyes were locked entirely on us. He wasn't even trying to hide it. "Bronson sent him," I whispered, keeping my lips curled into a polite smile as a neutral elder walked past.

I asked spinning to look at the Moon Goddess. “She is going to be just fine.” She said with a smile. “I need to talk to her. I need to be with her.” I started pacing back a forth trying to come up with ideas on how to get to her. “Gunner listen to me and listen carefully. She is going to be just fine. She is of the royal bloodline, remember? She would want you to focus on continuing to get the refugees out and safe. I can also tell you that the first round went very well and everybody is safe.” Selene said excitedly.

The corp stretched his hands and Hudson rolled his eyes before bringing out the ID card and giving it to the corp. After inspecting the cards, they were allowed to move forward and check the car. The car was burnt but there were still some features they could see before coming to their conclusion that the car was a Bugatti La Voiture Noire. "You know Mason got a pendant that has this huge S design that represents Skyler. Let's see if we can see it, even if it's the burnt version" Hudson said and Jacob checked inside the car. The pendant was there, it fell off and surprisingly it didn't get burnt.

Ganzorig was much taller than the average Salamander. His hair was in a top knot and he had a long thin nose that was aquiline and raptorlike. His skin was bronzed while his eyes, always half-open, belied his violent nature. He wore chain mail on his huge arms and steel gauntlets on his hands; wide chains crisscrossed his bare chest. This was the trademark attire of the Kanebori-shu or Gold-diggers. They were fire Slayers lured from distant regions by the gold rush, renowned for their skill in demolitions and explosives like nitroglycerine. Many of them had been recruited by the Khaganate to become siege-engineers and sappers in wartime.

A man on the boat reached out his hand to help me up. His face was hidden in shadow, but I could see a scar running down his cheek. I watched the flames and bid farewell to my former self. From this moment on, there was no more Serena Ferrari. From now on, I would become my own queen.

At first, the Queen frowns, but as the scholar keeps talking, a smile appears on her lips. “You are the mate of Derayu. You should have said this from the beginning. The scythe is yours. But I need you to promise to bring it back once you have killed your vampire. The scythe is a weapon of great power. If a person uses it with evil intentions, it will bring chaos and destruction.” Who the hell is Derayu? My mate is Vladimir. But I am not going to say anything about it. “Thank you, Queen scorpion. A huge truck came out of nowhere from his left forcing him to stop the car abruptly making a screeching noise as he held out his arm to keep his mom safe from hitting the dashboard. As soon as the car stopped he realized that he got hurt as blood dripped down his forehead. "Are you alright, mom?" Hunter asked, looking at Emma making sure she wasn't injured. Her eyes were wide as she gave a nod. Hunter glanced at the truck and his eyes narrowed at the driver who got out of the car. That driver's eyes turned golden and Hunter knew he was about to shift. In the blink of an eye, he yanked the gun from under his seat and aimed at that shifting werewolf.

I feel my heart thundering berserkly in my chest at the memory of her face morphing and twisting in fury, the baby blue turned blood-red eyes, and the sinister expression that told me she was ready to killl in a blink of an eye. "Vampire." Hunter blurts. Again, as if he knows exactly what's running in my head every damn minute, in every fucking second. And he's not even looking at me! How on earth does he do that? "Scarlet Tate is the only hybrid werewolf in the Wintermist Pack. She's the Alpha's daughter, so you better not underestimate her or you'll be dead before graduation." He warns. I look up and stare at his devilishly handsome face, his amber eyes cold and serious.

When Bynjym opens his claws, I see a group of people sitting around a campfire. “Is that her?” a man asks. “SHE has a name, Aris. Use it,” Ryuki says. “Sorry, Ryuki. Is this Skylar? Is she our new queen’s rider?” he asks. “You moron! Cyryl isn’t old enough to have a rider yet,” a woman says. “Queens are different, Soma. Look how Cyryl and the other dragons responded to Skylar before they were born. Even the silver egg they returned to Nyry responded to her.”

“I am Eric Cooper, Prince Regan’s assistant. Prince Regan sends his apologies for not coming to receive you personally.” “Let’s not waste time on these formalities.” Allure waved him off and turned her attention back to the cars. “I just want to know if your drivers can compare to professionals.” “Sorry?” “I mean, can they drive fast through difficult terrains?” “I guess so. They are all well trained to react to emergencies.” “Perfect. Tell your men to prepare. If they don’t give me a tough competition during the race, I will have them all punished after reaching the palace.”
