Mina hugged her, as Grace gently rubbed her hand against Sonia's back. “You bitch, you betrayed us. How could you?" Sandra asked, forgetting we were surrounded. “Shut up and get ready for what's coming your damn way. I do not owe you an explanation, so get lost," Sonia said, giving Sandra a hot slap. I just hoped I wasn't next. "Nelly, you seem so silent; have you not always said I am useless? Why are you not using your intellect to get out of this?" she asked and I couldn't even respond.

She also doesn't look at me. Liam, magnificently oblivious, presses on. "Can I at least get your number? For the audition? Or honestly even just coffee, I-" "Liam." This time the tone of my voice seems to register. He subsides, approximately three percent chastened. Sonia turns away to sign something the assistant has put in front of her. Her hand is shaking. He fumbled with his phone, calling me over and over. Still, no response.
