The light pulsed every few seconds, a security rhythm, she realized, tied to the building’s power core.

“I’ll let my husband decide what he’s going to do with you.” Michael steps forward then and orders, “Bring him along.” They do, dragging Raven along until we’re outside. Then they put him in a big, spacious box. Raven thrashes, kicking at the box and screaming for help. He’s not about to get one. Not now, not ever. Instead of me lying on the ground, I’ll be standing.” Damien studied her for a moment, his eyes trailing over her glowing form with admiration and something more primal. “Goddess Raven,” he murmured, voice low, “there’s something incredibly sexy about how powerful you are.”

We saw her far away from us and not moving. "Raven? Is there a problem?" I shouted at her because she was far away, of course, she couldn't hear me. She suddenly shook her head.
