The Sun fortress was quiet, ill-prepared for the coming assault. None could react as the Khan came down upon them. Energy waves rippled throughout Starlight, like a tsunami that swallowed the town whole. The wave’s tempest directed at the Sun. “Ah!” “We’re under attack!” “Help!” This sudden attack woke the Sun people violently from their slumber, but before they could even react, they were cut down without another word.

"I will try." Luna's force departed first, thirty-three warriors moving at speed toward the western forest where smoke already rose to the sky. I watched them go, knowing some would not return. My own team assembled quickly. Twenty warriors, mostly veterans who understood suicide missions. We carried light armor and weapons designed for speed over protection. "Move out," I commanded. As we ran toward the eastern border where Garrett waited with his hostage, I felt Aria's anguish through the mate bond. She stood on the wall watching us leave, torn between duty and family.

It took me by surprise as I hadn't expected such a reaction from them. Hunter then took center stage and began his announcement. "My fellow warriors," he started, "we have been through a difficult time. We have faced challenges that have tested our strength and resilience. But despite all that, we have emerged victorious. And today, I want to recognize our Luna for her unwavering support and leadership during these difficult times."
