It would only seem real for a second as the man would close in on our dead bodies. He would realize that I'm still breathing, ultimately shooting me in the end. I feel a nudge come from my right side where Alec resides. I look at the dangerous man beside me. Right, he would shoot the killer first, sparing everyone's life. The classroom is dark. A few girls are crying, with others desperately trying to shush them. I feel Alec's hand on mine, and I lay my head on his shoulder, trying to calm myself down. I've run from death every day, maybe it's time to let it happen.

A shudder races down my spine as I realize this class teaches these students how to evade the law, remaining on the wrong side of it without getting caught. Principal Byrne keeps his eyes off of me. Even so, I feel my cheeks heat in his presence, thinking about how I spoke to him. I’m not sure what got into me, but it happens whenever I’m with him. The desire to push against his authority and annoy him. The way he touched me was nothing short of erotic, even if it was with a ruler. No teacher should treat a student that way, but this isn’t like a normal school. He spins and writes murder on the board. “Can anyone tell me how you avoid being charged with murder?”

His shirt seemed to be missing the top buttons, exposing the scar that ran across his chest. “He can have the chair.” “Really?” Theo shook hands with him. “Thank you, bro.” I locked gazes with Tristan, seeing through the game he was trying to play. He was trying to get into my head, but I wouldn't let him. I had too much crazy in my life already. He stood by the wall, still staring even when I looked away. “Good morning all,” the principal started. “I believe most of you already heard of the gruesome murder that two of our students stumbled into.”

As I nodded, we walked away from there to get to our classroom. Upon entering the room, we sat down in the front while I kept moving my legs in nervousness wondering if he would actually kill me for just slapping his face when suddenly I saw my to-be murderer, Zayn walking inside the classroom with Eric and some other guys. He looked at me with his eyes still filled with rage and I immediately looked down to try to ignore his look. He walked towards my row and I gulped and breathed heavily but as he walked past me to get to the back of the class, I took a sigh of relief and waited for Mr. Liam to enter the class.
