"We have a big fucking problem!" Luca snaps into his comms unit. "Stay away from here. Desmond has the barn rigged with explosives and I need to get Finley untied! Stall him!" My heart plunges. Connor and Roberto abruptly stop walking after Luca warns them that they're heading straight into a trap. Which, of course, is going to let Desmond know that something is up. But, thank God, Connor seems to play it off smoothly as he reengages Desmond in conversation.

She took a look at her surrounding and realized that they’d reached Ian’s parents house. It’s a beautiful mansion, but not like those exaggeratedly large ones owned by celebrities. Ian’s parents and a couple of maids who worked for them are the only ones who now occupied the building, as all their children are grown ups, who now have families of their own with the exception of Ian. He is the last of three children, having an older brother and sister. Max, Ian’s older brother is also in the military, the Air Force to be precise. He already is a senior officer with two kids, who are already teenagers.

Sorin said as his lips threatened to break open into another grin. "Sheesh you don't even know how useful this weapon you uncultured swine.! Just ask Eugene he will tell you just how useful this weapon is!" Eira huffs out defiantly. "Who?? Who is this E-Eugen??" Sorin asks confused. Clean record. Works Quarry 3A. Sings while digging, apparently."
