I stared at the message, at the possibility it represented, and wondered what I'd just set in motion. "I think," I said slowly, "things are about to get much worse.”

The stories, however fragmented, painted a portrait of a richer, fuller existence, one vastly different from the harsh reality of our own. The abuse wasn’t in the past… It was still very much in the present. Now mum wasn’t around, it had gotten worse. It was like now there was no one around to catch him, no one around to stop him.. He was free to do anything, and there was nothing I could do about it. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, just when I thought I could finally have things under control for once in my fucking life, it all just came tumbling over. Why?

“You’re the one who burned everything. Your little live stream. Your restaurant. Your precious bond. I’ll burn it all down. Starting with the man who thinks he owns you now.” Jeff stumbled backward, pale and terrified. “Mom—Alisa—help me! This is insane!” My mother whirled on me, eyes wild with something that looked almost like fear. “Alisa, listen to me. You’re making a mistake. These people will destroy you. The pack will turn on you. Come home. Come home *now*.” The words hit like a slap. Home. She still thought I belonged there. Still thought I was the same broken omega who had cooked dinner for a man who never wanted her.

Every good thing comes to an end eventually, but it must happen for a person to move on and get better at life. That's what I've told myself constantly for over a seven weeks now, getting ready to go and leave, for the better. As the days go on, life gets worse, as this happens my days blend more and more into each other but stay long and boring, the gang has grown more and more absent in the house, they've grown distant and cold to one another, and they have started to become aggressive and easily agitated in their work and at home.

Yet… even after all that security, I felt vulnerable and defeated as the memories of the people being slaughtered and sheer demonic violence rushed into my head as I leafed through the burnt pages of that book. The book was last rented by a girl preparing for the medical entrance exam to bring her family out of poverty and permanently shift to Arginieth to have a better life. Seems this was the last book she would ever rent. Not just her body, but her dreams and the future of her family buried under this debris with this book. I looked at the sky and took a deep breath. “What’s the point?” I mumbled to myself as I threw the book back into the mountain of debris, which had once been a temple

Good book. Is this all, getting in a good book? Then I would love to be in his bad book for my life. Good book my ass...! *************

Every time I think I’ve hit the ceiling of how bad this can get—every time I think there’s nothing more to dig up from the twisted hell my life used to be—there’s more. Always more.

HAVEN if I thought things would get better as time went on, then i was solely wrong. Things have escalated from bad to worse in a few hours. People can be so cruel, I don't blame those who commit suicide, this is what goes on inside of them, the excruciating pain, the loneliness and fear they feel before they decide to finally put an end to it. But I'm better than that, I'm a survivor and I will survive this like I survived everything before.
