As I turned from the window, something caught my eye—a small reflection glinting in the corner of my room, near the wardrobe. A tiny, blinking light. My breath caught. The cameras were supposed to be gone. Were they?

It was the faintest spark, like tiny fireworks sparking to come alive. “What the hell?”

As we neared the party, I could see the flickering lights from a distance. Fairy lights hung from the trees, glowing softly like tiny stars in the night sky. They twinkled in the dark, casting a warm, magical light over everything. The tables and chairs were arranged perfectly, with crisp white tablecloths and elegant centerpieces made of candles and flowers. It all looked so beautiful and well thought out, like something out of a dream.
