As soon as she heard of the news from the grapevine, Cheryl rushed over to Abbott Group offices to find Wasyl. The moment she burst through the door, she exclaimed, "My love, have you heard? Lucille asked. Spencer said, "I've known about it." She was surprised. "Since when?" She'd thought Spencer had been out of the loop. When she'd found out about the truth, she'd been stunned for quite some time. She couldn't believe that Taylor wasn't Tucker's son. To her knowledge, Taylor was supposed to be his only son. "I guess from the first time he tried to kill me and take over my position," Spencer said calmly. Lucille clicked her tongue, muttering, "He truly doesn't know his place. He's not a member of the Layton family yet desires something that doesn't belong to him."

“It’s a fucking ruse. Baby brother here? He’s dad’s favorite lackey – he’s only here to spy.” Tony sputters, leaning forward, staring at Christian. “Are you fucking serious!? I just blew up my life, and you accuse me of being a spy!?” He groans, sitting hard back against the far arm of the sofa, shaking his head like he can’t believe it. “Fucking. Bullshit.”

“Do you know Tony?” Yael then replied calmly, “Tony is a local tyrant in Asperia. He’s the boss of all of the clubs in Asperia, and you can say that he’s Peter’s boss too. When Michael raided Peter's club, Tony seemed to be aware of it, so he found someone to replace him.” Nolan squinted his eyes. “So he's the one who's going to replace the Chases?” Yael nodded. “That’s right. Tony probably would take over Caleb’s position after his death. It seems like Tony was aware that something was wrong with the batch of goods. I wonder how he knew our plan.”

Now that she was meeting Spencer like this, she realized that he was indeed not an ordinary person. The rumors surrounding the two lords of the Dunley family carried some truth. She bent down slightly and whispered to Philip, “Young Master, he’s Spencer Dunley, the second person in power of the Dunley family, next to Sterling Dunley, the patriarch of the Dunley family. Although Kingston was wealthy, Spencer knew that he could easily defeat him if he wanted to so he wasn't worried. He was more concerned about Tisha. What had Kingston wanted from her? She must have been so helpless that night and decided to choose the lesser of two evils which was himself.

“Who are you? Monica doesn’t let just anyone get this close.” Spencer sat on the bed beside her, brushing a hand over her blanket. “I’m her boss. We have a big event coming up. I’m just… stressed.” Brad gave a dry chuckle. “You care a lot for a boss.” Spencer didn’t reply—but the look in his eyes said everything. “Who are you to her?” The words slipped from Spencer’s lips before he could stop them—sharp, cold, laced with something bitter he didn’t want to name.
