They drove in silence through the city. Istanbul slept beneath the fog, ancient stone pressed up against steel towers, mosques towering over marketplaces now empty and silent. The van stopped beside a dead fountain in a forgotten square. The building in front of them looked like a forgotten fortress—stone walls cracked with age, vines growing through the windows, no lights, no security, just a locked iron gate and a single phrase carved into the stone lintel above the entrance:
“SİZİ UNUTMAYIZ.”
