Her eyes stayed low on her toes as she walked towards our direction, almost giving me the impression that she was headed for our table. “Stella,” I called. But she brushed past me. Her band glowed with an excessive number of immunity points. She slept with that man for immunities. Then he most definitely wasn’t human. He had to be a god too. “Buckle up, players. It’s reckoning time,” the Voice turned grim.

Anna turned back to look at Emma and me. “Were you trying to get pregnant at any point in these four years?” she asked. I looked at my mate and my heart broke. She was pale, and she looked like she was going to be sick. I wasn’t sure if she was even listening to Anna. I pulled her to my chest and kissed the top of her head. “No.” I said. “Emma isn’t ready. She is taking contraceptive pills our pack doctor made.” Human contraception wouldn't work on a she-wolf, so Wren and some of his other colleagues made a contraceptive for she-wolves. It was similar to human contraception, but a bit stronger.

Stella did not have any makeup on, revealing smooth skin, and her disheveled hair cascaded gently around her ears. In the breeze, her hair danced, and her long lashes fluttered slightly. Keegan couldn't help but feel his heart race at the sight. Feeling flustered, he awkwardly averted his gaze. "Yeah," he mumbled. "Once its roots are in place, you can place it in your office desk. When you're mad, just look at it and see your angry face," Stella teased with a smile. "It looks so much like you." Evelyn's POV I watched with a mix of fascination and wariness as Veronica glided past me, her movements fluid and deliberate. She came to a stop beside Stella, a calculated smile spreading across her face. With a gentle touch on Stella's elbow, Veronica guided her to the forefront of the gathering. The room fell silent, all eyes drawn to the unlikely duo. “This is my good friend, Stella,” Veronica announced, her voice husky and confident. “She's just returned from studying at the prestigious Royal Academy of Silver Universe Pack.”
