Truthfully, it was hard watching her tend to me like this. Especially over something as basic as drawing my bathwater. And yet, refusing it somehow felt cruel. She opened a glass vial, filled with liquid the color of dawn mist, pale and opalescent, like melted pearls. As she poured it into the tub, the water took on a blush of pink that deepened gradually into a rich lavender hue.
