I followed him to his car, and once we were both in, he turned on his car engine and drove to I don't know where. "Do you like comedy?" He asked, and I looked at him as if he had grown two heads. "I don't know!" That was all I told him. I mean, I didn't know what to say. The question seemed out of context. A weird silence consumed us for a while before he asked again. "What do you think about Deadpool?" "What is wrong with you?" I answered his question with another question. "I mean, what's with the weird questions?" He chuckled before he added,

She mumbled an apology, but said nothing further. The day went on uneventfully. Once they had served the last customer, Summer flipped the board that had the ‘closed’ sign and pulled the blinds. As she unknotted her apron, she blurted, “Are there wolves here?” Barbara, who had been noting down the day’s earnings, stiffened. Summer frowned. Did she ask something…odd? As the older woman continued to note down everything on her little notepad, her anxiety spiked. Why did she blurt out and ask such a weird question? Who asks about wolves out of nowhere, with no context?

One of them is asking whether I’ve had an abortion. What kind of stupid question is that?” “Like I said,” he reiterated, “these are possible questions… questions to get you off guard, to get you angry, mad, to make sure that you are put off your game.” “Well, I’m surely put off my game by these questions,” I said. “What do you want me to say in court when they ask me all these questions?”

“ Have you ever healed unusually fast from injuries?” I shook my head. “ No.” Amber asked another. “ Have you ever smelled things others couldn’t?” “ No.” Maltilda folded her arms. “ Have you ever lost control when angry?” I scoffed…It was starting to have a pattern , This questions was leading to one fact ..: . “ I have a temper, yes.” “ Not that.” She narrowed her eyes. “ Truly lost control.” “ No.” Amber spoke again. “ During the midnight howls… have you ever felt strange?”
