Mabel refused their help and dragged her injured body to the inpatient ward to see Gisselle. She needed to pack everything and complete the discharge paperwork. Once everything was ready, Mabel sent Alex a message. She leaned down and kissed Gisselle's forehead gently. "Mom, wait for me. I'll meet you in Mythara soon." "What are you going to Mythara for?" Lennon's voice rang out behind her like a nightmare, making her freeze. Mabel stood up calmly. "A friend's getting married and invited me to the wedding." Lennon looked at her suspiciously. She simply held out her phone for him to see.

They shared a tender kiss, and I couldn't help but feel happy for them. I applauded, a wide smile spreading across my face. "Congratulations, you two!" I exclaimed. Wendy turned to me, her eyes shining with tears. "I'll miss you so much, Xavier. I'll miss you, but don't worry, I'll come visit you guys soon." As we chatted, I suddenly remembered Alice's parents. "Wait, didn't you call Mom and Dad to celebrate?" I asked Wendy. Wendy smiled. "They're a bit busy right now, but we're planning to visit them this weekend to finish up the wedding celebrations."

DINNER had been unexpectedly warm. Not extravagant, not formal. Just warm and simple. The long dining table that usually felt too large for three now felt comfortably filled, Adrian at the head, the twins on either side, George seated modestly toward the end, and Wendy beside her father. Conversation flowed easily. Gabriel had been the first to break the ice. “So, Wendy,” he began, sitting straighter than usual, “what grade are you in?” Wendy smiled politely. “Fourth.”

Wendy smirked as she made wicked eye contacts with her friends. "So let me get this straight. You waited all day for school to be over.. you are currently in detention and you gathered a bunch of morons to block my path because you want us to fight" Mara raised both her eyebrows as she tilted her head in disbelief. "You can put it in any way your tiny brain can process it" Wendy was still being so stubborn as she insisted on fighting with Mara who just wanted to go home so she could be on time for her next delivery.

Once I got to the dining room, Mabel was surrounded by her friends, excitement practically radiating off her as she shuffled through a pile of magazines. When she caught sight of me, her smile widened, and I felt the hairs on my neck stand up. “What’s going on?” I asked cautiously. Mabel folded her arms on the table, “We’re making plans for my upcoming wedding.” I blanched, in confusion. “Wedding? Since when are you engaged?”

Owen and George settled down on their seats with Mabel's other friends. "Where is Mabel?" Her friends asked me of her and I stared at the route to the restroom. "She went to the restroom, she should be coming by now." I told them, slightly worried. "When did she left?" Owen asked me. "Quite a little while." I replied him and stood up to my feet to go to the restroom to check on her, but Mabel showed up at that time, looking like a walking dead. I rushed towards her, and held her shoulders, "Hey, what's up?" I asked her impatiently.

(Lydia) The morning sunlight filtered through the kitchen windows, casting a warm glow on the breakfast table where Mabel and Miles sat, swinging their little legs under their chairs. The scent of waffles and eggs filled the room, and I was focused on getting the twins to eat before I had to leave for the hospital. “Come on, Mabel, one more bite,” I encouraged, nudging her plate closer. Mabel frowned at her fork, clearly less interested in the eggs than the syrup-covered waffle she’d already devoured. Miles, on the other hand, was happily munching away, humming a tune under his breath.

Minx said and smiled. “Well… I present to you, the actual reason behind the centuries-long squabble between our races. Love!” Gabriel said. “Love? No. I don't think so. When Mama Wendy comes, we would get answers hopefully.” Minx said. “Who is Mama Wendy?” Gabriel said. “A witch. I hope she honors our invitation. This theory of yours has raised my curiosity.” Mind said. Gabriel heard his phone ring; it was Gordon calling. “We better get going. Our absence has been finally noticed.” Gabriel said and laughed.

Wendy dropped her groceries on the kitchen counter that stood in the middle of the kitchen as she started brewing the coffee. "You have a nice home." Jack commended as he walked into the kitchen sitting on a stool as he leaned on the counter. "Thank you."
