Diana’s POV I lay sprawled across my bed, the dying evening light slipping through the curtains like silver dust, casting ghostly patterns across the walls. The worn pages of my favorite werewolf novel, ‘Demi-God Nemesis,’ curled beneath my fingers. The spine was cracked, the cover faded from love and overuse. I’d read it at least four times. And yet, I felt uneasy every time I reached the part of the Alpha, the powerful and commanding leader of the pack.

" When he stops talking, the silence feels deafening. The fire pops and hisses, sending sparks up the chimney, but all I can hear is the blood rushing in my ears. "So, you're telling me you're a werewolf? Which kind? The Teen Wolf type, who's all angsty and attractive? Or more Vampire Diaries, you know, the type that's mysteriously tied to vampires and the full moon drama?" I stand up and pace toward the window, my hands in my hair as the absurdity of this conversation crashes over me.

With a determined sigh, he revved up his motorcycle and headed back to his mansion. As the days turned into weeks, Simon's determination to win Mara's heart only grew stronger. Chapter 42 Nightmare An hour has passed ever since she arrived at the library reading the pile of books she had randomly chosen, and half of it was strangely about werewolves while the other half is about some kind of diary. For the past hour, she realized that this pile of books was either true or was here just for fun. But knowing Nicholas as the uptight boss to others and the big puppy to her, she can’t think that this is some type of joke. The things written inside sounded so credible after some of them wrote down facts that are known to humans. And if it's not it, the one who wrote this must have been trolling.

An hour and a half pass by and Xavier doesn't pick up anything interesting between their conversation. Their topic ranges from the news, boring politics, history of the cafe, and business ventures, which he didn't understand. He even drifted off from their conversation and ended up studying the lessons they were discussing earlier. Dylan, however, got annoyed at Xavier's silence. ALEXANDER Fuck, fuck, fuck. I was worried. This was really bad. I’d never seen a full-grown werewolf get sick before. Adult werewolves didn’t get sick. At least not until they got past a certain age. I’d, of course, known of elderly werewolves who got sick, growing weak from the aging process. But not twenty-year-old ones!
