She looked at him for a long moment then closed her eyes, let out her breath, and began to turn in a circle. Yes, it was exactly as it had been with Mike, the air around spinning. As she moved faster, the air became a blur, a thick cloud surrounding her until suddenly it stopped, fell away, and Riley gasped. A gorgeous white wolf stood in her place, with a sculptured head and a majestic body.

I suddenly felt a big hammer pounding my head, causing me to hold on to the bed frame and close my eyes because of dizziness. A sudden scene crossed my mind. Inside, the cell with a red werewolf facing Alarick and Convel. “A sanguis.” Both Alarick and Convel said as they were staring at a two-tailed red werewolf. In return, the red werewolf gave them a low growl. Instead of being scared, Alarick and Convel looked fascinated by the sight. The bloody color of the werewolf is shining as well as the two tails it keeps on swaying.

“Wulfric?” I nodded. “Fuck, man, I didn’t realize this was your pack. You look like shit.” His eyes darted upward, in a mindlink, then he shifted back into his wolf form. Another wolf came sprinting over—a female one. And that was when I realized that the scent of the wolf that was able to survive in cold water was this other wolf’s. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t realized it was a female scent at the time, too concentrated on figuring out the pack it was from.

Cheryl's body went skittering across the slick floor and slammed into a wall. Cheryl was stunned for a moment and then got up screaming, "You Bitch!" A flurry of snapping teeth and snarls erupted from the two wolves as they fought. Lucas was stunned. It took a moment to realise that the thing attacking the feral was another wolf. A much bigger one. Where had this this one come from? They were clearly a werewolf but not one Lucas recognised from the files they had on the Blue Mountain pack.
