He shot me that signature, sly grin of his. “I’m starting to think you might actually like me.”

I exclaimed. "Save your breath. I'm that good" he boosted. "Okay then, show me the face when I'm happy" I grunted pretending to be unimpressed. His eyes squinted slightly, as his cheek raised, a defined wrinkle runs from the sides of his nose to the corners of his mouth. The corners of his mouth move up at a diagonal, widening his mouth exposing teeth. "OMG!" I giggled. "I got it huh?" he asked and I nodded in agreement.

It doesn't take me long to turn away in disgust. Griffin doesn't smile as he approaches the bars, inches from my face. As I try to remain calm, I notice that today he looks like a phoenix - glowing with the emotion of fury or excitement - with his red hair and animated expression.

She grinned. “I’m open to giving it.” He grinned. “Win-win.” She smirked, throwing him a wink.

“I don’t want to.” His grin was wicked. “Then let’s keep going.”

He gritted his teeth as if he was pained but in reality it was just his ego. He finally let go of her and continued to speak. “What's going to happen now? Are you going to run off to zephyr so that you guys can continue your wretched love story?” His brows lifted, his mouth twisting into a lopsided grin that didn’t quite reach his eyes. There was a sharpness to it, like every line of his face was sculpted to offend. When he tilted his head slightly, it was with the air of someone barely containing a laugh.

As I scrolled downward, I realized in all his youth pictures, he wore a big smile on his face, something I had never seen on him. His eyes sparkled with delight, shining like two stars in the midnight sky. His mouth was contorted in a wide, genuine grin that stretched from ear to ear. His teeth gleamed bright white, surrounded by rosy lips that were pulled slightly wider at either end. His cheeks were crinkled with delight, and his eyebrows were raised in a playful expression. It was as if he had just heard the world's funniest joke and couldn't contain his joy. Every aspect of his face radiated pure happiness, making me Wonder how he turned so cold looking.

Grace began to smirk, and Wren stopped talking, giving her an unimpressed look. “What?” Grace asked with pretentious innocence “I would appreciate it if no smiling or flirty faces are made. This is actually serious stuff and I’m pretty messed up about it.” Grace dropped her smile immediately. “Fine. Sorry. Dead serious. Promise.” She mimed locking her lips and throwing away the key.

I watch his lips slowly twitch and move, until a mischievous grin stays plastered on his face. Oh lordy....
