After I booked a ride, I received a phone call from the driver stating that he was at the intersection and would be at my location in a couple of minutes. A couple of minutes and more passed and he had not shown up but I still waited, tired and frustrated. After a while, a car drove up to where I stood and rolled down the window. “Are you Sophia?” he asked, his head bent low to the level of the window and his eyes darting all over the place. “Yes, are you my rider with the last three digits plate number 625?” I asked with a hint of nervousness. “Yes, that is me,” he said quickly.

It's the only vehicle in sight, and I don’t want to think that it’s Uber. The streets are empty and a black car being the only thing that sits opposite of me, I’m pretty sure that’s how people get kidnapped. And so I turn my eyes away. But they said they’re waiting. Where could they be? I unlock my phone, ready to send them a very annoyed text when my phone buzzes again, beating me to it. Just on time, a text from my Uber driver flashes on the screen. ‘What are you waiting for?’ My fingers are fast as I reply, saying I don't see them. They respond, telling me they’re in the black car. I look around, unsure. My fingers hover over the keyboard, as I squint at the car suspiciously.

She pulled out her phone from her backpack, then she dialed the family driver. When the call was connected, she barked, “Where are you? I have been waiting for fifteen minutes, but I don’t see your car in the parking lot. You know that I don’t want to be kept waiting. Please don’t waste my time.” The family driver sighed and replied, “Miss Vivica, I am waiting for you at the South gate, but I don’t see you. Where are you standing, Miss?” A surge of anger rose in Vivica’s heart, and she asked, “Don’t you know how to read? Didn’t I ask you to pick me up at the West gate?

Draven asked, picking up and twirling a ball pen lazily in his left hand. “Yes Alpha.” The driver straightened up, determination in his gaze even as sweat dripped down his face. “I’m ready to accept any punishment if you find out I’m lying.” “Even death?” Draven drawled lowly yet his golden eyes were fixed on the driver like he was watching prey. I could feel the goosebumps rise on my skin as I watched him from the side. “Yes Alpha.” The driver replied, nodding his head furiously. “I swear it.”

The gate guards stood waiting. One of them pointed down the road. "There." Everyone turned. A vehicle approached slowly. Not black. White. Old. Dust-covered. A delivery truck. Nobody relaxed. Not after last night. The vehicle stopped twenty yards from the gate. The driver climbed out. Middle-aged. Human. Nervous. Very nervous. Mason stepped forward. "What do you want?" The man swallowed. "I have a delivery." Nobody moved. "A delivery for who?" The driver glanced at a piece of paper. Then looked directly at Grayson.

“Especially when it’s not necessary. There’s plenty of protection here.” I sighed, but I nodded, understanding. “What are you going to do?” “Maybe grab some food up the street and then come back here and hang out. This isn’t my first time being a driver, so I don’t get bored easily,” he assured me. But when I didn’t move or look away he sighed and gave me a small smile. “No need to worry, Miss Lila. I promise I’ll be fine and here waiting when you return.” I nodded. “Okay,” I said softly, sliding out of the car to join my waiting and obviously nervous friends.

"I am waiting for you till my last breath, Chris. Take your time and choose wisely. The driver is waiting for you, below with the car ready. And I have sent you the location on your mobile too.",Samson stated and hung up the call without waiting for his reply. Christian was staring at the screen blankly. He did not realize what just happened a few moments ago.

My driver looked at the man standing in front of our vehicle and asked uncertainly, "Ms. Spencer, should we get out and see what he wants?" "Ignore him." The driver backed up and moved the car to the side of the road to avoid blocking traffic. The rain outside was getting heavier, and he was quickly soaked through. I watched coldly, unmoved. It was time he experienced what waiting felt like. After about an hour, he staggered and nearly collapsed, shouting, "Do you hate me so much that you won't even see me? "But I need to see you. I have something to say before I leave."

"I think my driver left. He's supposed to be here and wait for me to finish the meeting upstairs." "Oh. The red sports car, right?" "Right!" I nodded repeatedly. "You've seen it left? Has he been out for a while?" "Just a few minutes ago, Ma'am. Ten minutes, I think." I grumbled in irritation and stared at my phone, shaking my head in disbelief. Where is he? SIRIUS (point of view) Sighing, I stepped back in defeat and motioned for her to come inside with me. I would gladly tell her about whatever happened that day instead of letting her find out everything on the internet. I wouldn't allow that!
