Ares let out a low, amused chuckle, standing up from his seat. His crimson armor shimmered in the dim light, and the flames of war flickered in his irises.
“Finally,” he said, rolling his shoulders, his bloodthirsty smirk sending chills down the spines of the lesser gods in the room. “It’s been too long since I’ve crushed something beneath my feet.”
Hades was the last to move. He did so slowly, his dark robes barely making a sound. The room dimmed as his presence expanded, and shadows curled around him like sentient entities. His cold, eerie eyes flickered toward Zeus.
