POV: Luna The next three days blurred together. Training. Planning. Preparing for a confrontation that might kill us all. But tonight, the Headmaster had ordered everyone to rest. Forced downtime before the final push. I found myself on the roof of the dormitory, staring at the stars. The moon was waxing, almost full. In four more days, it would be complete. The same night as Malachar's deadline. Of course he'd chosen the full moon. Maximum power for both of us.

No one in my family had silver strands or eyes like mine. Mom looked out of the window into the darkness, "There was a fire." My mind immediately went to the images shown to me by the lake. What if the lake showed me the night when my biological parents died? "It happened on the full moon?" Mom looked back at me, "A few days after the full moon, you were born on the night of the full moon, but it was no ordinary full moon, it was the night of a blood moon." My stomach dropped further hearing this.

The forest’s own power protects it from something that would destroy it. I sat up and looked at the wolf, his fur vibrant in the firelight. Was he the Sun, the one to bless the dragons? The Sun God to compliment The Moon Goddess? He was stunning and oh so terrifying to look at. Like looking directly into the sun. You know it’s going to hurt, maybe blink you, but it was just too beautiful to look away from. I never put much stock in the Sun God before, but seeing this beautiful wolf was proof enough for me. The Sun had answered my prayer...now I just had to fire out which ones? And why the Sun and not the moon?

3rd person PoV Tonight, was the night of the full moon, it was the most beautiful night and a special night for one little girl. And her name was Jackeline Moon (Jack for short). She was born in the most mysterious and secretive pack hidden deep within the forest known as the Healer Moon Pack, and much like the pack’s name, the pack members were just as special. Many of which who joined the pack gained euphoric features, features that can seduce both genders regardless of their sex, and it does not just end there. I replied, meaning every word I said. “Well if you're looking for my approval, you have it. Choosing each other under the blood moon will strengthen your bond. You should tell your mother your intentions. I believe she was hoping to hold a Luna ceremony for the winter solstice,” My dad said and smiled. “Thanks dad, I appreciate it,” I replied.

The cloak fluttered in the wind. Cia tightened the laces of her robe as the wind blew again. Her golden irises stared at the moon, which was obscured by the mist. Tonight, is the night of the quintet conjunction, an event that occurs once every 18 years. Not only is the magic about to happen, but tonight the moon is bigger than usual. In fact, the outlines of the moon's surface can be seen if our eyes are observant. Should I do it? I was a little hesitant to get there at this stage. The mission and Zeno are important to me. Why is it like this? Cia thought with eyes that could not escape the moon. It was as if the moon could hear his inner outpouring.

A magical barrier was also created with this power source that was around the coven that would protect them from any outside forces. Years ago the coven worked together to create the barrier and it was a success. The barrier was strong, and it kept the coven safe. But if the power source is drained then the barrier will no longer exist. This started to worry Zion. If she can’t protect her coven, then they will surely be as good as dead. The power source was a crystal, powered by the blood of a Luna. Zion was filled with anticipation as she placed her hands on the crystal. A bright light appeared, and she felt a surge of energy. She felt a warmth in her chest, and a sense of peace and calm. S

She is a slave, she’s weak, I can’t take her I need a strong mate. “ you’re my mate” her small sweet voice sounded like music to my ears, at that moment it took everything in me to stop myself from taking her in my hands, Leon wanted to hold her but no I can’t do this. I stepped back a bit and before I could stop myself I said. “ I, Ivan Parker, Alpha of the crescent moon pack, reject you as my mate and Luna”

It’s not a scar at all on the back of her head instead, it’s a symbol a seal to be more accurate. The seal is the sign of the eclipse: half the sun and half the moon entwined together. The symbols of both the sun god Helios and the moon goddess Selene. I switch on the light on the bedside table to get a clearer view. It’s not possible … but her wolf is white like the moon goddess and she smells of sunshine.

Someone else pipped up. “He didn’t give specifics, but it does sound that way. I did ask how we would even know who the moon wolf was. He said we would know, by the crescent moon on her fur.” Beta John answered. “So, we are looking for a she wolf with a crescent moon on her fur. What exactly is it that makes her so special? Do any of us have someone in our pack like this. Can we just give her up to make all this stop?”
