She smacked her lips, her eyes curving into crescent moons, both innocent and enchanting.
Aaron’s eyes darkened, staring fixedly at her.
“Zoe Thorne!” Aaron’s voice was devoid of emotion, yet it sent a chill down one’s spine: “Do you know the biggest difference between humans and animals?”
Zoe didn’t reply, just watched him in silence.
“Humans understand decency, they know where to stop. Once you’re done eating, you know how to go home. I’m not your chauffeur.”
Aaron tossed a large bill onto the table, not sparing her another glance, and decisively turned to leave the diner.
