his thick, long fingers curled around the object and I watched with rapt attention, "I thought the day I would willingly remove this would never come and I was okay with that."

"Marry Me," Ace interjected, "it can be now, 5 days from now, a month. Even a God damned century. Just, when the time comes and you're ready, marry me."
"Is this your idea of a proposal?" I sunk my teeth into my lower lip to bite back my smile.
His gaze settled on the dog tags once again before reluctantly rising to meet mine, "Yes. I guess it is."
Propping myself on my elbows, I said, "In that case, yes. I'll marry you."
