“The man threatened to cut off my penis if I didn’t allow him to kill my wife,” The man standing on a stage with a bunch of adults and teenagers listening to him takes a deep breath before continuing his life story. “-but jokes on him, my wife didn’t die that night, she came back to life after she was shot in the head. It was a miracle!” He screams and all the people clap and scream with joy in their hearts. Humans have the tendency of believing the worst shit. How can anyone blabber about how their partner died and came back to life and others actually believe? “What the hell is going on in there?” I turn around and my brown eyes clash with blue ones that squint as they notice me staring. Elsa. “Probably a bunch of weirdos trying to convince each other that their lives are more interesting than others.” I say whilst we walk past the tell all hallroom. I pause and look at her again. “What are you doing here anyway?” I ask knowing she’s meant to be in her chemistry class right now. She places her hands on her slim waist and tilts her heart shaped face sideways causing her blonde hair to sway. I have always been jealous of her pale skin. I unfortunately have tanned skin that makes me look like a Latino. “Where are you heading to?” she asks, completely ignoring my question. “Elsa, you can’t answer a question with a question.” I roll my eyes. “Fine, I got bored and saw you passing our class through the window. I came out to see what you were doing.” She says whilst playing with her hair. “I forgot my school bag at home.” I say knowing she’s about to start judging me as always, but what are friends for? She starts to laugh and I roll my eyes again. “Don’t even ask, I honestly don’t know how I forgot it. I’m going back home to get it.” I continue walking and she catches up to me. “I’m coming with you, no one will even notice I’m gone.” She winks and I smile. My place isn’t that far from our school. My dad insisted on finding a highschool that was near him, he’s so overprotective over me. My mom on the other hand could care less as long as I go to school. We reach there in no time and I knock on the door expecting one of my parents to open the door. It’s very early and I hadn’t even attended my first class when I noticed my school bag was missing. They both don’t leave for work till after I’ve had my second class so I’m sure they’ll both still be inside. “Hey Christina…are you sure they're inside?” Elena asks because I’ve been knocking for a while without saying a word. “I don’t understand.. they are usually up and awake by this time.” I sigh. “Have you even tried turning the door knob?” She asks like I’m the dumbest person on earth. “They always lock the door, trust me, it’s not going to be open.” I know how strict my dad is about locking the house. My hand clearly disagrees with me because I don’t even notice when it grabs the handle and pulls it down till I see the door creak open. “See, there we go. That wasn’t so hard now was it?” She emphasizes her statement by shaking her head and throwing out her hands. Usually I’d be amused by her but right now I have a bad feeling that something is terribly wrong. My parents would never leave the door open and they sure as hell would have opened the door even if they were asleep. I ignore the feeling and decide not to say anything because I don’t want to make Elena panic. I push the door open and the moment I step in I instantly regret it. Everything in the living room is a mess. The tv is upside down on the floor, the couches have shifted from their original spot and they all have scratches on them like some kind of animal was tearing them. The house is a simple duplex but right now I wish it was the size of a hut because it’s be so much easier to locate my parents. I hear a gasp and that’s when I remember that Elsa is still here with me. I look towards her direction and see that she’s staring at the stairs. “What the fuck.” She says and places a hand on her chest. I take a deep breath and look at the staircase, what I see has me paralyzed on the spot. There is blood dripping on every single staircase. I finally hear a noise coming from my dads room and I don’t even know how I get the courage to move but I manage to regain my strength. “Elsa, I need you to call 911 and run back to your house.” I hold her shoulders as I speak with a shaky voice. “No.. no- I can’t just-” “This is not the time Elsa!” I yell. “Get the fuck out and call the cops, tell them to get an ambulance down here now!” She nods and runs away and all the strength I thought I had just a second ago vanishes and I find myself holding the wall as I side step the mess on the floor. I walk all the way upstairs ignoring the blood because I will vomit if I stare at it. Once I reach the top, I follow the trail of blood which leads straight to my dads room. On my way there I find about four dead men on the floor. They're all covered in black clothing and they all have masks on. I gulp. I finally reach my dads room but the door is closed so I use my leg to kick it open softly. The first thing I see is two men in black choking my father. They all can’t see me because they are facing my dad and their bodies are blocking my fathers view. I don’t get to react because I look down and see my mothers limp body oozing out blood. The blood is scattered everywhere around her body. This time I don’t hold it in. I scream so loud I probably break all of my vocals. I look back at my dad and see that they have all noticed me due to my scream. The two men in black look at me instead of focusing on my dad which gives him an opening which he uses to bang their heads together and he does it so hard that I can hear their skulls clash. I expected the two men to fall and bleed out but they seem to be absolutely fine even with the blood coming out of their heads. I thought this would be the most unreal thing I’d see today but nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to see. My dads entire body starts to shake and elongate, it happens so fast that once I finish blinking, I don’t see three men in the room anymore, it’s only two and one huge gigantic Wolf? Dog? I don’t know what the hell that is but the only correct description would be a werewolf. The werewolf who I believe to be my dad jumps on the two men and kills them using his teeth just as they were about to start becoming hairy and elongating again. Those two men weren’t humans either? What the fuck.CHAPTER NINETY-FIVE - EPILOGUE 2CHRISTINAI had always wanted a night wedding.Something about the idea of saying the most important words of my life under a sky full of stars felt right in a way I couldn't fully explain. So the whole morning was given over to getting ready, and the room was full of women, laughing and talking over each other, passing things back and forth, someone always doing something to someone else's hair.I hadn't seen Marcel since the night before, that was the rule we'd agreed on, no contact until I walked down the aisle, and I had underestimated how strange it would feel to wake up without him in the same building. One of the younger omegas was suggesting we make a run for it, disappear somewhere in the pack grounds and make Marcel come searching, and the whole room was laughing at this when the door burst open.A girl stood in the frame, chest heaving with eyes wide."You have to come see this," she said. "Right now, everyone"Nobody asked questions, we we
CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR — EPILOGUECHRISTINA⋆。°✩ ⋆⁺。˚⋆ five months later ⋆˚⁺⋆。°✩⋆After Pierce died, everything became smooth. That's the only way I know how to say it, it was not perfect, and not without grief, but smooth, just like the way a road becomes after the worst of the storm had passed and you can finally see where you're going again.Becca and Melissa took their mother's death hard at first, that was expected and it was right. Whatever Pierce had done, she was still their mother and they were allowed to mourn her. Marcel gave them the space to do that without judgment and slowly, over weeks that turned into months, they came around. They started showing up for dinners, started talking without the guardedness that grief puts around people, It helped that they'd been also given time to grieve their father too.We couldn't make it to Davina's son's naming ceremony and she understood without needing much explanation. Those early months were hectic in ways that were hard to des
CHAPTER NINETY-THREECHRISTINAI felt her move through me, this huge deep power coursing from the inside out. I felt Patricia before I even saw her.My name, called out in a voice I hadn't heard since Maxwell took me, warm and bright and familiar in the way only she had ever been.I turned.Patricia was standing a few feet away, and she was glowing, not the soft shimmer I remembered but something stronger, her white hair lit from within like moonlight concentrated into a single point. She looked more real than anything around me, more solid, more present.I couldn't speak for a second. She crossed to me and wrapped her arms around me and I held on."You're back," I said."I never left," she said simply. "I've been with you the whole time, you just couldn't reach me."I pulled back and looked at her face."I tried so many times," I said."I know." She smiled. "But you're ready now, that's the difference."“Am I?” I asked and she nodded.“You're ready Christina” she said softly but I
CHAPTER NINETY-TWOCHRISTINA"Dad."He didn't respond."Dad, please."I pressed my hands against the sides of his face, tilting it toward me, his eyes were half open and unfocused, there was so much blood, too much, spreading fast beneath his head across the floor."Someone help me!" I screamed. "Please, someone help!"And then he coughed.A wet, broken sound that sent relief crashing through me so hard I started crying before I could stop it."Okay," I said, my voice shaking badly. "Okay, you're okay, I'm going to get the doctor, just stay right there…."His hand found my wrist.Weak and barely any grip at all but it was enough to stop me."Don't," he said."Dad….""Christina." His voice was barely there. Just breath carrying sound. "Just stay." He said "You need help, you're bleeding, I have to….""Stay," he said again.I couldn't move, I couldn't leave him and I couldn't stop crying, I pressed his hand between both of mine and held on.He looked at me, the way he had when I firs
CHAPTER NINETY-ONECHRISTINAMy father stood up from his chair slowly and walked to the window. He stood there with his back to me, his hands loose at his sides, looking out at whatever was beyond the glass. "We had to leave again," he said. "After the massacre we went into hiding, found a remote part of the pack and stayed" He was quiet for a moment. "A few days passed, we thought maybe the worst of it was over.” He paused again."And then Damien called for Titiana again."I stayed very still. My father turned his head slightly but didn't fully turn around."I made mistakes," he said. "Ones I've had a long time to think about, I should have reported what Damien did to the hall of gods immediately, I should have sent that letter to Titiana after Veronica died, I should have done a hundred things differently." He exhaled slowly. "But I was unfocused and scattered, I kept thinking there was more time than there was."He stopped again."Dad," I said softly. "What happened to her?"H
CHAPTER NINETYCHRISTINA"If you knew you were spelled," I said carefully, "why didn't you do something about it?"My father was quiet for a moment, looking down at his hands."Two reasons," he said finally. "The first is that the spell, whatever it was, made it nearly impossible to act against it, the awareness of it would come and go, when I was with Titiana I could feel it clearly, like suddenly being able to see the walls of a room you'd been locked in but the moment I was away from her it would close back over me and I'd lose the thread of it." He shook his head slowly. "You can't fight something you can only see half the time.""And the second reason?"He exhaled. "Pierce was pregnant, my child was coming into the world and I couldn't walk away from that, whatever else was happening, whatever had been done to me, there was a baby who hadn't asked for any of it." He looked at me steadily. "I couldn't disappear on my own child.""So we kept seeing each other," he continued. "I
CHAPTER 71CHRISTINAThe door creaked open and I jerked awake, my heart immediately hammering in my chest.Maxwell walked in, looking far too casual for someone who'd kidnapped me and locked me in this rotting prison. His eyes swept the room and landed on the table where all the things he'd brought
GABRIEL POV"Alpha, you need to rest."Marcel didn't even look at me, he was already moving, scanning the treeline like he could find Christina through sheer force of will."You're pale," I continued, stepping in front of him. "The full moon is tonight, you need to save your strength.""Get out of

Jonathan paced restlessly inside me, his agitation bleeding into my thoughts like static. Something was wrong and I could feel it in
