I stormed out of the hospital, my heart shredding into a million pieces. Passersby glanced at me, their eyes filled with confusion and fear. They had never seen their Luna so unhinged.

Kira snarled within me, her anger fueling my every step. Becca had taken everything away from me, and now she would pay. My claws extended, scrapping against my palm as I clenched my fist. I had to put an end to this once and for all.

I navigated the forest paths with ease, my senses heightened by fury. The trees blurred into a green haze as I sprinted towards the pack house. The scent of pine and earth mixed with the metallic tang of my own blood as my wounds reopened but I ignored the pain, it didn't hurt as much as my heart does.

When I reached the clearing, I saw the Crepe Myrtle tree blooming in the middle of the pack house. It was a symbol of our strength and unity, now a cruel reminder of my betrayal. I hesitated for a moment, memories of the promise I and Brian had made while planting the tree flooded my mind. But the image of Becca’s smirk and Brian's cold dismissal shattered any remaining sentimentality.

I burst through the door, into the living room, it was empty, save for one person—Becca. She looked up, startled from her place on the couch. The shock quickly morphed into a smirk as she stood, feigning nonchalance. “It's the barren wolf,” she sneered, her voice dripping with mockery. “That was quite a show, you should get an award.”

The insult stung, but my rage burned hotter. “You took everything away from me when I've done nothing to you” I growled, moving towards her.

Becca stood her ground, fearless as she crossed her arms, tilting her head with one of her brows raised. “Oh, poor loser,” she mocked. “You're such a pathetic thing, you know Brian was never yours and will never be. He's always belonged to me, come rain come sunshine.”

Kira's growl echoed through me, amplifying my anger. “You think you can take what's mine and get away with it, huh?” Before Becca could respond, I thrust at her. She yelped, barely dodging my claws as she scrambled backwards.

“Damon,” she screamed, her voice shrills with panic. “Get in here, NOW!”

The door burst open and Damon, Brian's Beta, rushed in. “What the hell, Luna.” Damon roared, stepping forward, but I slashed at the air in front of him, forcing him back.

“Stay out of this, Damon. This is between me and her.”

I lunged at Becca, but Damon intercepted, “I'm sorry Luna, but I have to stop you,” he said as he wrapped his hand around my wrist. He was strong, but so was I. I twisted and turned, using his strength against him, and sent him crashing into the wall.

Becca's eyes widened in fear. “You're insane!” she screamed backing away.

“Insane?” I laughed bitterly. “You haven't seen anything yet.” I rushed at her, my claws glinting in the dim light. “You want to eat your cake and have it, huh!”

Damon recovered, grabbing my arm again. This time, I turned and kicked him hard in the knee, sending him down. Becca screamed again, but it was cut short as I pinned her to the wall.

“Please Luna,” she whimpered.

I let out a wicked laughter as I leaned in close, my breath hot against her face. “Did you say Luna? What happened to Loser?” I asked as I laughed again.

“Please don't hurt me,” she pleaded.

“You don't want to be hurt, huh! Yet, you took Brian away from me, as if that wasn't enough, you killed my child too,” I screamed, shaking my head vigorously.

Just then, a group of pack warriors burst through the door, led by Brian. “Stop this madness!” Brian shouted, his voice commanding.

I hesitated, my claws a few inches away from Becca’s throat. The warriors surrounded me, their eyes wary but determined. I could take them all, I knew it. But because of Brian, I'll let them go.

“Let's talk Luna,” Brian said, walking into the bedroom.

“It's not over,” I spat at Becca before following Brian.

.

“What's the meaning of what you did there?” Brian asked as soon as I had closed the door behind me.

“Are you trying to shift the blame on me? You two killed my child,” I fired at him.

“You're joking right, because you were never pregnant to begin with.” Brian stated.

“What?” I asked in shock.

“Stop being dramatic Luna, Becca told me everything. How you had schemed with Dr Jade to fake a pregnancy report, so I won't reject you.”

“Brian!” I exclaimed, almost a yell.

“See Luna,” he started but I cut him short.

“Don't Luna me, Brian.” I said, slowly raising my voice. “Is this what I get for trusting you? You told me she's your past, you said you don’t have anything to do with her anymore,” I turned and slowly walked away from him, “you lied to me Brian.” I said softly.

“You and Becca are my mate. You have to get along, not fight at my back” Brian uttered more like a statement.

I immediately turned to face him, “So, you're telling me to accept Becca as your new mate?” I asked, my voice trembling. The thought of having to share my mate annoys my wolf and it made my blood boil. Kira growled softly, urging me to fight, to reclaim what was ours.

Brian's expression was calm and conflicted “Luna, it's not like you're lacking in any other areas. But I want you to be truthful to yourself, your inability to carry a pup is a bit of a deal breaker, don't you think?”

His words were like a sword stabbed into my heart. I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes as tears pricked at the corners, “I was carrying your pup until an hour ago when you and Becca killed it. You can't do this to me.”

I slowly moved closer to Brian and pulled his arms around my waist. The bond mate worked, and he immediately pressed me against his body. Inhaling his scent, I hugged him tightly placing my head on his chest. The familiar scent was a cruel reminder of what I was losing.

“I'm sorry Luna, you're a great wolf, but I need a mate who can provide an heir. It's for the good of the pack”

Suddenly, the door pushed open, and Becca walked in. In a big show, she let out a loud gasp and slapped her hand over her mouth. Brian pulled away from me with a jerk, “Becca!”

A smirk curled on my lips as Becca rushed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Brian attempted to run after her, but I was swift enough to hold back his right hand. “Please Brian, don't leave me for her,” I pleaded, my voice raw with desperation.

Brian placed his left hand of my wrist and gently freed my grip around his right hand. “I'm sorry Luna,” he said and rushed out of the room.

His words echoed in my head as I dwelled on the realization that Brian had just walked away from me. I was a strong wolf, a skilled hunter and Brian’s favourite person, but ever since Becca had come back to his life a month ago, he had drift apart.

I stood there, frozen in shock as the door closed behind Brian. The silence in the room was deafening and I could hear my own heartbeat. My eyes fell on the bed where we shared so many intimate moments. The memories now seemed bittersweet. I had thought our bond was strong enough to overcome any obstacle without it cracking, but I was wrong.

Becca's return had stirred up lingering feelings and I couldn't help but wonder why she had returned. Was it just to reunite with her ex-mate, or she has an ulterior motive. I need to find out Becca’s true intentions and protect my place in the pack. Brian might be blinded by her, but I wasn't. My wolf, Kira and I will fight for what was ours.

BRIANA brilliant, breathtaking smile radiated on her face, illuminating the entire dreary council room.“Good morning, everyone,” Luna said, her voice smooth, melodic, and completely commanding the attention of every leader present. She walked in with a lethal, predatory grace, entirely ignoring my existence as she approached the table. “Please accept my sincerest apologies for my lateness. There was a slight... delay at my pack's borders.”She glided effortlessly toward the empty seat beside me, the seat Becca had just been thrown out of and sat down with the poise of a true queen.I stared at her, completely paralyzed. My wolf, who had been brooding and silent all along, suddenly stirred, whining in a painful mixture of agony and longing. Looking at her now, sitting beautifully at the head of the table where she belonged, a sickening wave of regret washed over me. I had traded a goddess for a child, and the entire room knew it.Dante didn’t even glance back at me. He completel

BRIANThe grand hall of the Alpha Summit hummed with the low, vibrating energy of the continent's most powerful wolves. Waiters in pressed suits glided through the crowd, and the scent of expensive cologne, cedar, and dominant Alpha auras filled the air. The atmosphere inside the grand council hall was thick with tension, but it wasn't the kind of respect I had anticipated. As the hosting Alpha, I sat at the head of the long mahogany table, but the greetings from the arriving Alphas felt forced and hollow. People nodded at me, but their eyes immediately drifted to Becca, who sat proudly by my side. They shot us weird, deeply disapproving looks before whispering among themselves.By my side, Becca looked stunning in a fitted gown, her hand resting delicately on my forearm. She smiled at a passing Alpha from a neighboring territory, playing the part of a perfect, graceful companion. I should have been proud. I should have felt victorious.Instead, a persistent, dull ache throbbed ri

LUNAThe door swung wider, and Brian stepped into the room. I looked at him, desperately searching the face of my mate for even a shred of the man I used to know. But there was nothing left. His eyes were cold, dead, and entirely detached.“Luna..” Becca sobbed, pointing a trembling finger at me from the floor. “She attacked me.”“Is this true?” he asked, his voice clipping the air like winter frost.A heavy, suffocating weight pressed down on my chest, but I refused to let it bow my spine. I lifted my chin, staring right back at him, my own eyes hardening to ice. “She provoked me, Brian. How could she—”“I don't care what she did,” he roared. The sound ripped from his chest with enough force to vibrate the very walls of the room. The sheer, blinding fury radiating from him overrode every ounce of restraint he possessed. He stepped directly into my space, letting his suffocating Alpha aura flare until the air grew so heavy it felt like breathing glass. He looked down at me, his

BRIAN I was in my office trying to finalize some pack’s documents before heading to the summit, when I heard the frantic footsteps of servants approaching. My head snapped up as one of them burst through the door, her face pale and eyes wide with fear. “Alpha Brian, you need to come quickly. It's the Lunas,” she stammered. My heart pounded as I hurried after her, dread settling in my stomach. When we reached the garment quarters, I saw Becca seated on the floor, with Luna standing over her, looking both shocked and defiant. Rage bubbled up inside me. “What the hell happened here?” I demanded, my voice shaking with anger. “Luna..” Becca said pointing at her. “She attacked me,” I looked at Luna, my once beloved mate, now a source of pain and betrayal. “Is this true?” I asked, my voice cold. Luna lifted up her chin, her eyes hard. “She provoked me Brian, how could she…” “I don't care what she did,” I roared, the sound ripping from my chest with enough force to vibrate the

LUNA The morning of the Alpha Summit dawned under a heavy silence that pressed against my ribs like a warning. Brian had said nothing to me. Not one word about the event, not even a curt dismissal. That silence told me everything I needed to know—he didn’t want me there. Still, I refused to cower in my chambers while another piece of my life was quietly taken from me. “Lisa,” I called softly, my voice weaker than I would have liked. “Go to the garment department and collect the dress I asked them to prepare for the summit. Tell them it’s urgent.” Lisa bowed slightly, her expression carefully neutral. “Yes, Luna.” She left, and I waited, pacing slowly despite the sharp ache still blooming in my lower belly. The faded mate mark on my neck itched beneath the high collar of my robe, a constant reminder of everything I had lost. Nearly thirty minutes passed before Lisa returned, empty-handed. I frowned. “Where’s the dress?” She shifted on her feet, avoiding my eyes. “They

BECCA The sound echoed through the hallway, and Luna stumbled back, her hand flying to her cheek. “Becca!” Brian yelled my name but I ignored him, my gaze locked on the pathetic woman in front of me. “Still don’t know your place, loser?” I spat, stepping closer. “That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what I’ll do if you dare come even an inch closer to Brian ever again. He’s mine now. I carry his mark. You’re nothing but a discarded mate who couldn’t even give him an heir. Stay in your lane before I make sure you’re thrown out of this pack for good.” Luna stumbled back, her hand flying to her reddening cheek. For a split second, shock flashed across her face, but it quickly twisted into pure, blazing anger. Her eyes glowed with her wolf rising to the surface. She wasn’t some weak, broken thing—I knew that much. She lunged forward instantly, her hand raised to strike me back. But Brian moved like lightning, and grabbed her wrist mid-swing, pulling her back firmly against his
