LUNA

I sat on the edge of the bed tending to my injuries when suddenly, a sharp pain stuck my belly. Gripping my stomach, I collapsed to the ground wondering if it was the aftermath of my miscarriage. I suddenly felt nauseous and ran to the bathroom to empty all what I've eaten. I felt weak, as I collapsed to the floor. I only managed to get water to wash my mouth and face. The pain subsided for a while, and I sluggishly walked back to the bed. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a quick flash of light around the mate mark on my neck.

My tummy didn't hurt because of the miscarriage. Brian had marked Becca and has claimed her as his after all the promises he made to me. After swearing by the moon and earth that it would be just us, yet, he had fucked Becca.

Brian and I had met under the most unusual circumstances. It was a stormy night, the wind howling through the trees as if echoing the cries of lost souls. I was practicing my hunting skills in the woods, honing my instincts and reflexes when I perceived a unique scent. I traced it and stumbled upon a scene that made my blood run cold. An alpha wolf was surrounded by three rogue wolves, their eyes glinting with malice as they closed in on him.

I felt a sudden rush of adrenaline and without hesitation, I shifted. I tackled the largest wolf, my teeth sinking into its neck. The taste of blood fueled my rage, and I fought with a ferocity I had never known. Brian, despite his injuries was able to fend off the other two wolves with my help. Together, we drove them away, their yelps fading into the night.

Exhausted and bleeding, Brian collapsed against a tree. I shifted back to my human form and knelt beside him. “Are you okay?” I asked, my voice soft with concern.

He looked up at me, his eyes filled with gratitude. “I am now, thanks to you. What's your name?”

“Luna,” I replied, helping him to his feet. Just then, a strong pleasant scent of roasted almond with slight caramel I had never smelled before, struck my nose. I turned to face him with my eyes widely opened,

“Mate?” we said in unison.

My stomach was hit with another wave of pain causing me to collapse as fresh tears rolled down my face and I gasped for air. I cried myself to sleep and as soon as I had woken up, Brian walked into the room with Damon and two other warriors.

“What's going on here?” I asked as they suddenly started grabbing my stuffs.

“You'll no longer be staying here,” Brian said, ignoring my gaze.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked surprised.

“Your presence disgusts Becca, so, we'll be moving you to the small room at the back of the pack house,” he replied, foolishly.

I scoffed, “are you joking right now? You want me to live in that hole? This is my pack, our pack and I'm going no where,” I said, standing my ground.

“Hole? That's where the pack's historian used to live before, he died five years ago. If he can live there, you can live there too. You can get your pack back if that's what you want,” he said, finally looking at me. “I'll request a meeting with the elders,” he added, walking out of the room.

For some reasons, the elders wouldn't agree to split the pack. Our merging has brought a lot of profit to us as an empire. And besides, even though my father had founded the pack, they wouldn't allow a female to rule them, never. That was what brought about the merging in the first place. If I hadn't found my mate during the mourning period of my father, I don't know what they might have done.

“Brian please, don't do this to me.” I begged running after him. “Please, I am begging you. I have no where to go.”

He stopped and turned to look at me. His blue eyes now as cold as ice stared at me “If you have nowhere to go, then listen to me like you always do, don't be stubborn” he yelled. Gone was the warmth that made me feel safe and merged my pack with him.

We had both made sacrifices for love and I was not going to let him destroy it all because of Becca.

“We can fix whatever is wrong. Tell me what happened, is it because I couldn't get pregnant. You saw me had a miscarriage, right? That should tell you nothing is wrong with me. Just give me one more chance, I promise to be pregnant,”

“There's no one more chance, and about that fake pregnancy of yours, we'll come back to that. I marked Becca, for your information and I plan to make her the Luna,” he said.

“Brian don't do this to us. Remember the good old days.” I knelt down on my knees holding onto his right leg.

“Get away from me,” he said, struggling to free his leg from my grip. “Guards!” Brian called out

Two guards rushed in to answer his call. “Yes, Alpha?”

“Take her to the old pack historian’s room. Watch over her and make sure she doesn't go anywhere near Becca. Take her away, now!” he ordered.

Without delaying, the guards pulled me from the ground and dragged me out like a criminal.

I was trying to comply with them, but Kira was proving stubborn. She was desperate to come out and attack everyone around me, but I wasn't going to let that happen. I could feel her perambulating restlessly, fighting to be free.

“Let me out,”

“Kira,” I groaned, struggling to hold her back.

After a few struggles, I succeeded to keep her down, but that was only for a while. When we got to the room, the guards yanked the door opened and tossed me inside.

“Ouch!” I exclaimed, falling down to the ground with my knees scrapping the hard floor. I could feel goosebumps rising in my body as long claws slowly forced its way out of my fingers. Kira had successfully taken over my body.

It was so quick and before I knew it, she headed towards the door. “Don't Kira,” I pleaded, “we can't attack Becca the second time without a plan.” I reminded her.

All of a sudden, she stopped and retraced her footsteps to one corner of the room before letting me take over.

Kira's calmness cooled my nerves, “I'll come up with one, and when I do, do not try to stop me,” she warned.

BRIANA brilliant, breathtaking smile radiated on her face, illuminating the entire dreary council room.“Good morning, everyone,” Luna said, her voice smooth, melodic, and completely commanding the attention of every leader present. She walked in with a lethal, predatory grace, entirely ignoring my existence as she approached the table. “Please accept my sincerest apologies for my lateness. There was a slight... delay at my pack's borders.”She glided effortlessly toward the empty seat beside me, the seat Becca had just been thrown out of and sat down with the poise of a true queen.I stared at her, completely paralyzed. My wolf, who had been brooding and silent all along, suddenly stirred, whining in a painful mixture of agony and longing. Looking at her now, sitting beautifully at the head of the table where she belonged, a sickening wave of regret washed over me. I had traded a goddess for a child, and the entire room knew it.Dante didn’t even glance back at me. He completel

BRIANThe grand hall of the Alpha Summit hummed with the low, vibrating energy of the continent's most powerful wolves. Waiters in pressed suits glided through the crowd, and the scent of expensive cologne, cedar, and dominant Alpha auras filled the air. The atmosphere inside the grand council hall was thick with tension, but it wasn't the kind of respect I had anticipated. As the hosting Alpha, I sat at the head of the long mahogany table, but the greetings from the arriving Alphas felt forced and hollow. People nodded at me, but their eyes immediately drifted to Becca, who sat proudly by my side. They shot us weird, deeply disapproving looks before whispering among themselves.By my side, Becca looked stunning in a fitted gown, her hand resting delicately on my forearm. She smiled at a passing Alpha from a neighboring territory, playing the part of a perfect, graceful companion. I should have been proud. I should have felt victorious.Instead, a persistent, dull ache throbbed ri

LUNAThe door swung wider, and Brian stepped into the room. I looked at him, desperately searching the face of my mate for even a shred of the man I used to know. But there was nothing left. His eyes were cold, dead, and entirely detached.“Luna..” Becca sobbed, pointing a trembling finger at me from the floor. “She attacked me.”“Is this true?” he asked, his voice clipping the air like winter frost.A heavy, suffocating weight pressed down on my chest, but I refused to let it bow my spine. I lifted my chin, staring right back at him, my own eyes hardening to ice. “She provoked me, Brian. How could she—”“I don't care what she did,” he roared. The sound ripped from his chest with enough force to vibrate the very walls of the room. The sheer, blinding fury radiating from him overrode every ounce of restraint he possessed. He stepped directly into my space, letting his suffocating Alpha aura flare until the air grew so heavy it felt like breathing glass. He looked down at me, his

BRIAN I was in my office trying to finalize some pack’s documents before heading to the summit, when I heard the frantic footsteps of servants approaching. My head snapped up as one of them burst through the door, her face pale and eyes wide with fear. “Alpha Brian, you need to come quickly. It's the Lunas,” she stammered. My heart pounded as I hurried after her, dread settling in my stomach. When we reached the garment quarters, I saw Becca seated on the floor, with Luna standing over her, looking both shocked and defiant. Rage bubbled up inside me. “What the hell happened here?” I demanded, my voice shaking with anger. “Luna..” Becca said pointing at her. “She attacked me,” I looked at Luna, my once beloved mate, now a source of pain and betrayal. “Is this true?” I asked, my voice cold. Luna lifted up her chin, her eyes hard. “She provoked me Brian, how could she…” “I don't care what she did,” I roared, the sound ripping from my chest with enough force to vibrate the

LUNA The morning of the Alpha Summit dawned under a heavy silence that pressed against my ribs like a warning. Brian had said nothing to me. Not one word about the event, not even a curt dismissal. That silence told me everything I needed to know—he didn’t want me there. Still, I refused to cower in my chambers while another piece of my life was quietly taken from me. “Lisa,” I called softly, my voice weaker than I would have liked. “Go to the garment department and collect the dress I asked them to prepare for the summit. Tell them it’s urgent.” Lisa bowed slightly, her expression carefully neutral. “Yes, Luna.” She left, and I waited, pacing slowly despite the sharp ache still blooming in my lower belly. The faded mate mark on my neck itched beneath the high collar of my robe, a constant reminder of everything I had lost. Nearly thirty minutes passed before Lisa returned, empty-handed. I frowned. “Where’s the dress?” She shifted on her feet, avoiding my eyes. “They

BECCA The sound echoed through the hallway, and Luna stumbled back, her hand flying to her cheek. “Becca!” Brian yelled my name but I ignored him, my gaze locked on the pathetic woman in front of me. “Still don’t know your place, loser?” I spat, stepping closer. “That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what I’ll do if you dare come even an inch closer to Brian ever again. He’s mine now. I carry his mark. You’re nothing but a discarded mate who couldn’t even give him an heir. Stay in your lane before I make sure you’re thrown out of this pack for good.” Luna stumbled back, her hand flying to her reddening cheek. For a split second, shock flashed across her face, but it quickly twisted into pure, blazing anger. Her eyes glowed with her wolf rising to the surface. She wasn’t some weak, broken thing—I knew that much. She lunged forward instantly, her hand raised to strike me back. But Brian moved like lightning, and grabbed her wrist mid-swing, pulling her back firmly against his
