LOGINElena wiped away the tears that were streaming down her face. She took a deep breath, then opened the door roughly. Her heart was hurt and filled with anger. Elena entered the room, startling the couple who had just finished making love.
"Elena?" Josh spontaneously pulled away from Bianca's embrace. He got off the bed, grabbed a pair of pants on the floor, and pulled them on.
"How dare you do this behind my back!" Elena was furious.
A hard slap landed on Josh's face.
"Josh!" screamed Bianca. She wrapped a blanket around her and went over to Josh. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly.
Elena was disgusted at her best friend's behavior. She looked at Bianca disappointedly, shook her head weakly, then said, "I trusted you, but look what you did behind my back! You fucked my boyfriend!" Elena's voice trembled as she pointed at Bianca in disappointment.
"Elena, listen to me! It's not what it looks like." Josh tried to touch Elena, but she quickly pushed him away.
"Don't touch me!" Elena raised her hands as if disgusted with Josh. "I heard everything, Josh. You're just using me for your work. And you!" Elena pointed at Bianca, who was very emotional. "I thought you were my best friend, but you turned out to be a poisonous snake that bit me in the back! You're both traitors!"
"Don't talk nonsense about me!" snapped Bianca as she waved her hand. She started to slap Elena, but Elena quickly caught her hand.
"You have ruined our friendship, Bianca. From now on, you are no longer my best friend." Elena squeezed Bianca's wrist till the woman winced in pain.
Then Elena roughly slapped Bianca's hand away. She turned to Josh. "And you... are no longer my boyfriend!"
After saying that, Elena quickly turned and walked away.
"Elena!" Josh tried to catch up, but Bianca stopped him.
Elena didn't care anymore. She continued to swing her legs, leaving Josh and Bianca behind. Her tears broke out as soon as she left this cursed place.
Trouble came thick and fast and crushed Elena so cruelly. She didn't know where to turn. Her brain couldn't think. Elena was completely desperate, and that's where she ended up. In a nightclub, she was hoping that alcohol would make all her problems go away. Between the pounding music and the booze, Elena began to lose her mind. She was already drunk, but she had no desire to stop.
"By yourself?" A man came and sat down beside Elena.
Elena did not answer. She was too busy with herself. Until the man brashly touched her thigh.
"Get your hands off me!" Elana brushed the man's hand away roughly.
Instead, the man turned and sat down in front of Elena. "You look very troubled." He looked Elena over from head to toe. Elena's work suit and messy brown hair looked so hot that they provoked his evil intentions. "You're so hot. Why don't you spend the night with me?" he asked lustfully.
"Go away!" Elena slapped his hand away as he tried to touch her.
Feeling rejected, the man took bolder action. He stood up and pulled Elena's body into his arms. "No one can resist me, 'lil kitty. Not a single woman in this club, not even you!" he said.
Elena tried to pull away from the man. But she didn't have enough strength.
"Let her go!" The order sounded stern.
The baritone voice came from behind, slipping between the pounding beats of the music. It was Sean Blackwood, the most potent, hot, and dangerous man in the city.
"She is my lady. Don't interfere," the man carrying Elena said.
Sean Blackwood pulled Elena away from the man, then said firmly, "I don't like lies." He grabbed the man's collar and looked at him sharply. "Do you know who I am?"
Seeing Sean's face up close, the man gulped. His body trembled. "I'm sorry, Mr. Blackwood."
"Get out of my sight or I'll break your neck," Sean hissed threateningly.
As soon as Sean let go, the man stumbled away.
Sean turned to Elena and led her to a quieter place.
"What the hell you doin' here?" He looked at Elena, pushing aside the hair that partially covered her face.
Elena opened her eyes. She smiled and stared at Sean for a while. "Hey, I remember you." Elena touched Sean's jaw. "You're the guy from the hospital, aren't you? Why are you here? Did you follow me?" Elena's fingers danced across Sean's jaw.
"Stop it!" Sean caught Elena's hand.
That just made Elena worse. She tried to stand on her own but lost her balance. She fell into Sean's arms and clung to his shoulders.
"Why are you following me? Do you like me, sir?" Elena joked, teasing Sean again.
"I said stop!" Sean pulled Elena's hand away.
Unfortunately, Elena was out of her mind. She was too drunk and had no shame in flirting more aggressively with Sean. She wrapped both hands around Sean's neck and pulled him closer. The smell of alcohol from Elena's mouth set Sean off.
Elena kissed Sean's lips, then whispered, "Do you want to sleep with me?"
"You're drunk. I'll take you home." Sean tried to hold back something urgent inside him.
Elena shook her head. "I don't want to go home. I have a lot of money to make. You want to buy my kidneys? I have two. You can buy one. Don't worry. I won't die," Elena said even more incoherently.
"I'm not interested in your kidney. Come on. You shouldn't be here." Sean pulled on Elena's hand, but she cried instead.
Elena hugged Sean, then complained like a child. "My boyfriend cheated on me. He's fucking my best friend. I hate them." Elena lifted her face and looked at Sean, tears streaming down her face. "But I need the money. You must have a lot of money. Sir, I can be your mistress if you give me the money." Elena was too drunk to know who she was talking to.
Sean moistened his lips as he tried to keep himself under control. "You don't want to do this," he said.
"I do," Elena said. She squeezed Sean's hair, then suddenly kissed him. Her other hand played on Sean's chest, dancing around and moving down to his groin.
"Don't you dare!" Sean held Elena's hand as he pulled away from the kiss.
"I want to be your mistress." Elena kissed Sean's neck. Her warm breath made him close his eyes. The temptation was too great, especially when Elena whispered, "I'm a virgin."
Sean's chest rippled violently. The whispers played with his desire. He snarled with his eyes closed, trying to control the monster inside that was rebelling.
"You can have me, sir. I will serve you well." Elena bit her lip, then slowly knelt in front of Sean. Her hands roamed over Sean's manly body, clad in an expensive suit.
Just before Elena reached his private area, Sean grabbed her and pulled her to her feet. Sean looked into Elena's empty eyes. "Are you going home?"
"I don't want to go home." Elena shook her head desperately.
"Then I'll take you home." Sean grinned meaningfully.
Elena sat on a chair in the living room, rocking gently on her baby's crib. The thought of Eric's uncle's visit made her uneasy. She didn't know who he was, but she felt uncomfortable being in a safe place with strangers. It all started with her escape. She wanted to tell Eric, but her reluctance held her back. Eric had been so kind, giving her a place to stay and helping her with everything. Who was she to refuse the presence of Eric's family? But Eric was a sensitive person. When he walked into the living room and saw Elena, he immediately saw the fear on her face."Abby, what's the matter? I've been watching you, and you look uncomfortable." Eric sat down on the couch across from Elena. "Did something happen to your baby?""My baby is fine," Elena replied, forcing a smile to her lips."So what? Is this about my uncle?" guessed Eric. He was certain that Elena was hiding something from him.Elena paused, glancing up at Eric momentarily before looking down again. "It's not like that.
A knock at the door woke Elena from her reverie. The baby had fallen asleep after a long cry. Elena felt relieved. However, the sound of the knock made her anxious. Cautiously, she went to the door and opened it slightly."Eric," she said with relief as she saw the man's face in the door's crack.Eric looked enthusiastic with a wide smile. But when he saw Elena's worried look, his smile faded and turned to concern."Are you okay?" asked Eric, his eyes looking worriedly at Elena. "You look pale."Elena tried to smile. "I'm fine. I'm just a little tired. My baby was crying all along, and I had difficulty calming her down," she replied as she opened the door wider to let Eric in.Eric nodded, although his expression showed he didn't quite believe it. He glanced at Elena's baby sleeping on a small mattress in the corner of the room and then looked back at Elena. "I brought you something," he said, holding up his two large shopping bags. "Please tell me if I missed anything," he continued
Elena sat on the sofa, trying to calm herself down after almost falling over earlier. Her baby was now fast asleep in her arms, which made the atmosphere a little more peaceful. Eric came back from the kitchen with a cup of tea."Here, have some. It will help calm you down," Eric said as he handed the cup to Elena.Elena accepted the tea with hands that were still slightly shaking. "Thank you, Eric. You always know what I need," she said quietly, gratefully.Eric smiled. "It's not a big deal. You need a lot of rest. I will ensure that everything goes well for you and your baby."Elena sipped the tea slowly, its warmth spreading through her body. She felt calm, although her heart still had a little uneasiness. Eric sat in the chair before her and looked at Elena with a concern that made her a little nervous. Their eyes met for some time. Elena broke the gaze and turned to her baby, looking down to hide her blushing face.Eric cleared his throat and tried to change the subject. "I just
Elena opened her eyes slowly, trying to make out the room around her. The white ceiling and the soft sounds of medical equipment were the first clues that she was in a hospital. Her body felt weak, but her breathing was more regular now. When she turned her head, she saw Eric sitting in a chair beside the bed, his face looking tired but relieved."Eric..." Elena whispered hoarsely.Eric stood up immediately and approached her. "Abby, you're awake. Thank God," he said with a relieved smile. "How you feeling?"Elena tried to recall what had happened. Flashes of events came through her mind - the two men in the street, the blood, the excruciating pain, and finally, the baby's cry. "Where am I?" she asked quietly."You're in the infirmary," Eric replied as he sat back down. "You were bleeding badly after the birth, but the doctor was able to save you. Everything is fine now."Elena looked at Eric with tear-filled eyes. "My baby..." she whispered, her voice full of panic. "Where is my baby
Elena's steps were heavy as she walked home from the restaurant where she worked. There had been some trouble at the restaurant, so she had to leave a little late. Exhaustion ruled her body, but the thought of her baby gave her the strength to keep going. She gently held her belly, relieved she had made it through the day without a hitch. But the relief didn't last long. A strange feeling overcame her as she walked down a small, deserted street. It felt as if eyes were watching her. Elena turned her head, but only the shadows of buildings and dim lights were in the distance. She tried to convince herself that it was just a feeling, nothing more.Pulling her jacket together, Elena quickened her pace. But then she heard footsteps behind her, echoing down the deserted street. She turned her head again, and two men emerged from the shadows. They approached with a look that sent shivers down Elena's spine. The smirks on their lips told her they wanted something from her."What do you want?
Lisbon was a different place than anything Elena had ever imagined. Her first year in that city was full of challenges, especially with her growing pregnancy. She had to start from scratch, with no connections or family support, and the threat of Sean's shadow constantly haunts her. Every step was hard, but she knew she had no other choice.Elena, who now goes by the name Abigail Winter, found that building a new life was not as easy as one might think. Applying for jobs was a big challenge. The skeptical look on managers' faces when they saw her growing belly only added to her sense of hopelessness. Rejection after rejection gnawed at her spirit, but she kept trying.Amid the dead end, a new friend came into her life. Eric, a man with a friendly smile and a laid-back attitude, became an unexpected savior. After their first meeting at the airport, Elena and Eric reunited at the local market when Elena tried to buy necessities on a minimal budget. Seeing her confusion, Eric offered her
During the mourning time, Sean was rarely home. His busy out-of-town work schedule meant that he often came home late at night or not at all. When he did come home, Sean always seemed exhausted, his face radiating a sorrow he never expressed. He went straight into the room, and when Elena tried to
