INICIAR SESIÓNLyria's POV:
“Lyria, what do you mean? You are joking, right?“ Dave was quick to ask, staring at me like I did something wrong.
Before I could reply, my father was already standing in front of me. “Lyria, what is the meaning of all of this? You rejected Alpha Azriel just because you want to marry the man you love, and now you think you can just end everything?”
“Look around; this would be the biggest humiliation to not just me but to this pack if you ruin this!”
My father's words hit me hard but not enough to make me want to even have a second thought about my decision, not when I know how I am going to die.
I am not going to misuse this second chance!
“I don't know what I have done to offend you—”
I burst into laughter the moment Dave dropped on his knees, holding my bulky gown. “We are done, Alpha… sorry, Dave!”
“You can go be with your fated mate and the love of your life,” I screamed out, leaving everyone in disbelief.
I did not bother checking out the look on Dave's face before turning around. I walked down to Alpha Azriel, who was staring at me with a sly smile on his face.
“I do… I do want to marry you,” the words rolled out before I could organize my thought. “You said you want an alliance between both packs, an arranged marriage, out of duty, right?”
Even though I was blabbing, at this point I don't give a fuck! I just want to escape this fate!
The murmurs from the crowd were almost unbelievable. Everyone was calling me a whore. They were mocking my father for wasting such a huge amount only to get this mess and humiliation. They were talking about how I should be grateful someone like Dave loves an Omega like me…
As hurtful as their cruel words were, none got to me. Right now, all that matters to me is not getting married to my killer!
I won't take that chance!
“Are you sure about this?” Alpha Azriel’s voice echoed.
He stood up then walked up to me, leaving not even an inch between us. Leaning to my height, he whispered, “I asked—are you sure about this?”
I nodded before replying, “Yes. Please marry me. I want to marry you…”
At this point I felt like an idiot desperate to just be someone's wife, but I don't care!
"Be careful what you wish for,” he whispered, his voice almost scaring me. “To think you were adamant on not marrying me two months ago,” he added after he took a few steps back.
He stretched his hand to me before I could think of what to do if he turned me down like I did to him. Without hesitating, I took in his hands, causing everyone to gasp.
He walked me back to the podium where Dave stood alongside my father, their gazes fixed on me.
“Lyria—”
“Whatever engagement and relationship between me and Dave Wilson would completely be severed today. I reject him as my fiance,” I interrupted him before turning to face the priestess. “I am getting married to Alpha Azriel today.”
“Go on with the wedding,” my father's voice echoed, prompting Priestess Liz to begin with the wedding.

After the wedding was over, I walked down to my father, who looked down. I felt bad for him, especially given the fact my father would die soon.
I want to stop that, but I can't even remember how he died. That was the only thing I couldn't remember…
“Lyria, why did you…”
I went on my knees before my father could complete his statement, tears pouring down my face.
I wanted to explain everything to him, but that would only make me feel like a fool. I can't explain to him that I would die by the hand of the same Dave and his mistress, who is my best friend as well.
“Father, I am sorry.” I burst into tears before I could come up with an excuse. “I don't—”
“Lyria, don't cry. You know I would do everything for you. That was the sole reason I allowed you to marry who you chose,” my father helped me up, embracing me tightly. “Let’s join your husband and everyone else for the wedding afterparty."
I smiled faintly at his words. I can't believe he was doing this even after what I have done… how I brought humiliation on him.
“Where do you think you are going?” Dave's voice stopped me. He sounded completely different to the soft man I remembered he was before we got married.
I pretended not to hear him and continued walking, but he held my wrist tightly, pulling me to himself. “Did you think you can just use me and then humiliate me in front of everyone?”
His question made me chuckle. “Used you? Then I didn't use you well,” I said, trying not to reveal how anxious I was. “You deceived me! You made me think you love me. You made me make excuses for you. You killed…” I quickly stopped myself before saying too much.
“If I used you well, Dave, you would not have been fucking around with Ariana! You would have rejected her to stand with me in that wedding hall! You would have… not deceived me to this very moment even when she is carrying your pup!” I yelled out before trying to pull his hand from my wrist, but he was holding me firmly like he had no intention of letting me go.
“Dave, let me go this instant!”
“You are going nowhere, Lyria! If I can't have you, then no one else would! I would rather have you die than watch you be with another man!”
Lyria POV“What are you talking about? There are many eyewitnesses who saw the mortician leaving with the Alpha's corpse,” Elder Thorne, who had been quiet like none of this had anything to do with him, asked.I moved my gaze from Dave to Alpha Azriel. As much as I have every reason to pin this on Alpha Azriel, I don't want to.He proved me wrong. The drink from last night wasn't from him. Cassandra said it was from Ariana, and the one who secretly took care of me without anyone in the pack knowing was Alpha Azriel.“My father was not only stabbed, he was poisoned. Those multiple stabs were signs of struggle,” I forced out those words. If the explanation Cassandra gave me earlier was true, I have to stand my ground on finding the killer through thorough investigation without pinning it on Alpha Azriel and also on the fact that my father is alive. That is the only way I won't have to end my marriage with Alpha Azriel and also have to get married to another man who would lead the pack.
Dave's POV:“Alpha Azriel’s main aim is to destroy this pack, Lyria,” I continued, my gaze fixed on her, enjoying every fear I instilled inside her. “Think about the reason he agreed to marry you the second you left me for him.”“That isn't true.”I smiled at her words, which seemed forced, sounding like she was trying to convince herself instead.“Well, believe whatever you want to just like you did yesterday,” I said, hoping she would think hard and deep. “You still have the chance to clean up the mess you created yesterday.”“Just call off your marriage with Alpha Azriel and announce us getting married before more damage is caused.“It is that simple, Lyria,” With that said, I walked away. The Lyria I know would crawl back to me, begging. In Bluemoon, I am the only one who has ever chosen her aside from her father. Love her and care for her.Even though I was doing it for the show, I made it believable. I just don't know what went wrong.Just few days ago, Lyria was so excited abou
Lyria's POVI slowly opened my eyes, my head hurting so bad as if someone…I quickly sat up, staring around the room I was in. The last thing I wanted was for all that happened to be a dream or to wake up in hell.I took in a deep breath after searching around the room, which was exactly my room. It was as it was before—“Princess Lyria,” Cassandra's voice snapped me out of what seemed like my thoughts, yet a fragment of my memory.I remembered taking drink from her, then came the pain and how I was struggling… finding it hard to breath…“Alpha Xavier was murdered last night, Princess Lyria,” Cassandra's words made me blink my eyes, trying to understand what she meant.I saw my father yesterday! No… no… There is no way he was dead! I didn't remember him getting murdered!Unable to think straight, I got out of my room before I rushed out, heading off to my father's room.“Wifey,” I felt Alpha Azriel's hand holding me tightly. “You are supposed to be in your room, it isn't safe—”I did
Azriel's POV:I inhaled deeply after I managed to pull her away. “Lyria, I am not going to touch you. Not this way!”I don't care if she was under the influence of drink, I can't do this. Not when I know how much she disliked me.Having her choose me in the very end after deciding to marry another man was enough for me.The alliance is my goal.“Princess Lyria—”“I want you to be with her until I am back with a doctor,” I instructed the lady who claimed to be her maid earlier. “Don’t leave here, and no one must know about this!”I hurried out, finding my way through the crowd who were too engrossed in the party and dancing to know I and Lyria was not down here with them. While searching for my Beta, my gaze moved across the room in hope of finding that bitch who spiked her drink, but there wasn't a trace of her or Dave in the room.“Alpha Azriel, have you seen my daughter?”“Yes, she is in her room,” I replied sharply, avoiding eye contact with Alpha Xavier."Alpha Azriel, you look—”
Azriel's POV“Take care of him! It must not exceed tonight!” A familiar voice made me turn. “If it exceeds today, I will make both you and your family pay for it!”I smiled faintly when my gaze landed on Dave from the corner where I stood. Given what he did to Lyria earlier, I wanted to snap his neck out.I held back the urge not to do something that would paint me in a negative light more than the way others see me.Our pack needs Bloodcircle’s money and resources for sustainability, while they need our Gammas for protection.I can't fuck that up.“Dave, it is time,” a feminine voice echoed from the direction Dave stood. “She is drunk now. All you have to do is walk into that room—”“I doubt if that would work,” Dave said, staring at the lady with quite a romantic look on his face. She must be the lady Lyria talked about. What am I even doing?Without thinking twice, I turned to walk away, but Ariana’s words made me halt.“Look, Lyria would not be able to fight the urge. She is a mes
Lyria's POV:My heart raced hard, my body shivering as I prayed desperately. I don't want to face the same fate… I don't want to misuse this second chance given to me.I snapped out of my thoughts at the sound of a punch. When I turned around, Dave was already on the ground.“Wifey, you are supposed to be with me at the party and not here,” Alpha Azriel's voice echoed. Calm and hoarse like we had been on a good time all this time.I didn't take my gaze away from Dave. For some reason, this was satisfying. Watching him feel defeated especially given how much he hated defeat. From the deep frown on his face and how he clenched his hands which were turning pale, I could tell a little bit of what was going on his mind.I turned around the moment I felt Alpha Azriel locked his hand around mine. I don't know what he was up to, but I walked alongside with him to the after wedding afterparty. My face brightened the moment we walked into my father's grand living room which I later became a lit
