On Saturday morning, I woke up in my room and decided to inform my foster mother, Nancy, about my interest in gaining admission into the pack's university to study medicine. I wanted to help the pack members. As a 17-year-old girl, I had seen many of our pack members fall sick, and some couldn't shift into their wolves. This sparked a desire in me to study medicine to help them. When I got out of my room on the top floor of the white mansion, I breathed out heavily, wearing a white nightdress and black slippers. I knew I had to try my luck with my foster mother. She could be cruel to me sometimes, as she pampered her own daughter, Emily. But I had to try. It was my only hope and chance of gaining admission into the pack's university, which was expensive. Nancy worked as a nurse in the pack's hospital, and her husband, Wren, was a lawyer, even though they were Delta wolves. They were rich from working and took care of their two children, Mark and Emily, and they spoiled them. Mark was a 24-year-old guy and hardly at home. Recently, he had returned home. He was a basketball star and had his own money, but he was spoiled and had several girlfriends, whom he often came home with. His mother would never reprimand him for it; instead, she would encourage him not to take any of those girls seriously and to wait for his fated mate. I couldn't blame Mark. He was rich, together with his parents' wealth. The young ladies in our pack, the Starfield pack, loved him. When I made my way to the living room, walking down the corridor, I saw it was 8 a.m. and the day was bright and sunny. As I unlocked the living room door, I heard Emily's excited voice: "Mom, I still cannot believe that Daniel Ryan, the Beta's son, is asking me to be his girlfriend." My heart clenched when I heard Emily say that. Daniel had previously asked me to be his girlfriend, but I told him no. He didn't give me a chance to explain myself as he spat in my face and pushed me to the ground. "Who would want to date a wolfless girl like you? I was only doing you a favour," he spat, in front of many of my high school friends. I felt extremely embarrassed. Emily came rushing over to Daniel. She held his hand and told him, "Daniel, you can be my boyfriend and don't waste your time on this bìtch." My heart ached, but I pushed the hurt aside. They were good for each other, I thought, but Daniel peered at me angrily. He was the Beta's son, and my rejection made him feel bad. I tried to avoid him. After all, he wasn't a student in my class; he had only come to the school for his sister's graduation certificate. Shutting my eyes at the painful memories, I clenched my fist and moved into the living room. The air thickened at the sight of me, and the family at the dining table stopped eating as they sensed my presence. "Good morning," I greeted them with a forced smile. "Morning, Olivia. What do you want here?" Nancy asked, as she picked up a glass of water and drank. She sat beside her husband, while her son and daughter sat across from her. Seeing their eyes on me, I spluttered but decided to go straight to the point. "Um, Aunt, I want to further my education at the pack's university." "Hahaha!" Nancy laughed, as she peered at me. She wore a blue nightdress, and she was fair and beautiful for her age. "Why should you further your education? You're wolfless and you don't need to think of going to the university. You should serve as our maid, as repayment for all the money we spend on feeding you up to this size. Isn't that right, honey?" She shifted her gaze to her husband, who nodded. "Yes. My mate is right," Mr. Wren declared. "Olivia, you are to quit your ambition of going to the pack's university and serve as a cleaner here," he said. "No! It's been my dream to create medicine to help our pack members become better. Please," I knelt before my foster parents, as I was grateful they adopted me and fed me. But I had to further my education. Emily rose from her dining chair, wearing a white nightdress, and rushed up to me. "You bìtch! Didn't you hear Mom say you are not going to the university? You're to become a servant here in our home and clean the house. Got that!" She smacked me across my left cheek and sent me falling to the ground. "That's enough, Emily!" Mark snapped. His icy voice made his sister jump, as she turned to look at him. "Mark, are you taking this bìtch's side over mine, your sister? Mom, Dad, Mark is favouring Olivia!" Emily cried and pointed at me. The atmosphere in the dining room became tense as my foster parents looked at Mark suspiciously. "What has come over you, Mark? How can you defend that worthless girl? We only adopted Olivia to give Emily a younger sister, and since Emily doesn't want Olivia anymore, you are not to favour Olivia or see her as your sister. Now, apologize to Emily!" Mr. Wren insisted. Mark stared at his parents' faces. His jaw tightened as he rose to his feet. "Mom, Dad, you are both wrong. I cannot sit here and watch you bully Olivia just because she doesn't have a wolf. If you don't want her presence anymore, take her back to the orphanage home. I am out of here." Mark walked away from the dining room, not sparing a glance at me, and my jaw dropped at his blunt words to his parents. "Mark! Come back here!" his parents tried calling him, but he had already left the house. The sound of his car starting in the garage filled the air as he drove off. "You slut! What did you do to possess my only son?" Nancy yelled, as she rushed towards me and descended on me in the living room. Her fist connected to my face, as she smacked me continuously until I collasped on the floor.Summer's POVWhen I moved to enter the basketball court, I spotted Ava's car arrive, as a long, luxurious bus pulled up too. Summer’s POV:As I perched on the silver chair in the dining room and ate my breakfast with my family, it consisted of a cup of tea paired with four slices of bread.“You need to eat more, Summer. You need to gain weight,” Caleb said, as he sat next to me in the chair. He picked another slice of bread and added it to my plate.“Maybe the food is not her favorite. Summer, do you want us to change the diet and add any meals to your menu?” Mom asked, her tone sounding soft, as her eyes met mine.“No, the food is enough. I do not have a favorite meal,” I replied calmly.Cooper grinned and said, “Then we can hire a nutritionist to help Summer improve her diet.”“Let her eat more fruit. She will look better,” Carter said, as he sat next to Cooper at the table.“Alright. We should hurry up after winning the match. I will take Summer to the fruit market to get her more fruits. Which is your favorite?” Caleb inquired, as he picked up his cup and sipped his tea. Finishing it, he set the cup on
Summer's POV:The week rolled by and Saturday arrived. I did not want to leave my room, as I lay on the bed.I felt sick, so I pulled the bedsheets over myself properly.Just then, the intense knocking on the door rattled me as I lay on the bed.I lazily got out of bed and went to pull the door open. I wore a white nightdress that fell past my knees.“What the hell, sis! You look a mess!” Caleb exclaimed, as it was already 8 a.m., but I was still feeling sleepy.“Good morning, brother,” I greeted him with a grumble.“What is wrong? Did Mark do anything to offend you?” Caleb asked, his voice serious as he took a step into the room. Before I could react, he checked my body temperature, but I replied, “Mark did not do anything. I am just not feeling fine.”Caleb scowled and asked, “Should we visit the pack’s hospital?” His voice was thick with concern for me, but I stopped him.“No need. You guys have games to play today, so I will get ready.”I was aware that the game was going to kick
Ava's POV.When I drove to the omega district of our pack, my stomach churned violently. My palms tightened around the steering wheel."Mate!" My wolf growled, urging me toward the mate bond.Gritting my teeth, I parked my car along the roadside. This was not the first time since I found out I was pregnant by Wren. My desire spiked, and I stayed constantly aroused."Damn it. What do I do?" I groaned in my car."Ava, are you alright?" Justin mindlinked me, and I retorted, "I am not. I told you we should find time to reject each other. I cannot accept you.""Don't say that. If you do not want me, who will you accept? An alpha cannot reject their mate, remember. You need me. I can smell your heat," he said, his voice teasing."Shut up!" I growled at him and shut him out, but he mindlinked me again."I saw you drive to that rural area. We can meet up if you want," he ordered. It tempted me, but I didn't want to get caught. If Bryan or my dad found out I was mated to Justin, they would for

Summer's POV:After my dinner with Mom, I decided to go outside for a stroll. When I rose to my feet to leave the house, Mom studied my face and asked, "Summer, are you sure that you are alright? Or has Mark broken up with you? Did he cheat on you?""No," I quickly denied. "He didn't cheat on me,"
