I stayed quiet, while he spoke to the receptionist about the room and the necessary details. Once everything was settled, we headed for the elevator. In the elevator, the tension between us was so palpable that I could literally feel it pulse in the air. He didn’t even take his eyes off me for one freaking second. And as much as it flattered me, it also made me uncomfortable. I mean, even when I held his gaze he didn’t stop. “I’d appreciate it, if you’d stop staring at me like you want to eat me or something.” I said tucking the strands I’d left out of my messy bun behind my ear. “Oh but I do.” He pushed himself off the metal walls he’d been leaning on and began walking towards me with slow and deliberate steps. “And no one can blame me really. You are one beautiful woman.” He breathed the words out, tilting my chin up with a gentle touch. “Your husband must be running mad to not want you all to himself.” I had told about Zephan since he asked about my relationship status during our chats, and I didn’t really see any point in lying, so I told him the truth. “Mmm.” I tipped one shoulder up, pairing it with an eye-roll I didn’t bother to hide. “His loss.” His gaze flicked down to my mouth. “His loss, indeed.” Then without a warning, he leaned in, capturing my mouth in a fierce, smoldering kiss that stole the breath straight out of my lungs. I reacted almost immediately, moaning into the kiss as I slipped my fingers into his hair—and yes, they did feel as soft as they looked. His hand travelled down to my waist, slipping beneath my coat before groping my ass and the warmth of him pressed against me made my head spin. And don’t even get me started on his scent. We were lost in each other, lips locked and pulses racing, when the elevator ding shattered the moment. We jerked apart, breathless and I immediately shot him a glare for being so impatient and starting things here in the elevator when we could’ve waited till we got to the hotel room. And to make it even worse, three people were waiting on the other side when the elevator doors slid open. I didn’t need a mirror to tell me that my hair was a mess, and from the red stains on Harl’s lips, my lipstick was just as ruined. One of them, a brunette, stared at us before trying and failing to hide her smile. Heat rushed to my cheeks, and I didn’t even bother looking at the other two before brushing past them, and Harl followed after me. “They must think we're a couple.” I heard him say beside me. “Oh, shut up.” We walked down the hall in silence, the tension between us still crackling. Harl reached the door first and held it open for me, his smirk making my pulse skip. “After you,” he said, and I stepped inside, my body practically buzzing from the proximity, and every nerve screaming for more. The hotel room looked cozy and quite spacious, but I barely registered it. I had other important things on my mind. “Do you want anything?” He asked, closing the door as I took off my coat and giving him a proper view of my dress and my bare legs. It was a bit cold tonight and I didn’t want to take any chances, that’s why I had worn it in the first place. Harl faltered for a second, his eyes lingering on my legs before continuing with an amused look on his face now. “There’s nothing here but wine and I could order room service but it’d take a while before—” I didn’t wait for him to finish. As a matter of fact, my brain had checked out entirely. “Just shut up and kiss me.” I said, pulling his head towards mine and crashing my lips against his. Thank God for these heels, if not, I’d be standing on my toes right now. “Oh?” He murmured against my lips. “Desperate much?” Except for the little bite I gave his lips I didn’t answer him. I knew he was only baiting me and I wouldn’t let it work. He answered my bite with a low sound in his throat, then kissed me so fiercely it felt like the room tilted. Suddenly I was moving, and before I could even process it or wonder where I was moving to, my back hit a wall, taking the breath right out of me. “Are you sure you don’t want anything?” He breathed, trailing kisses down my neck. “I’m paying you to fuck me Harl. Not ask about my fucking well-being.” I said, my voice thin and my tone sharper than I planned. I could feel his laugh against my skin and it went straight to my whole body making it impossible to think. “Well sorry if I’m being a gentleman, but since that’s what you want...” Before I could process what was happening, my heels left the ground, and I gasped at the sudden shift. “I never gave you permission to carry me.” He didn’t answer until he dropped me on the bed, running his hand up my side. “Well, do you give me permission to take off your dress?” I couldn’t stop the smile tugging at my lips as I lifted a brow, “Do you even know how to take off dresses like these?” “Oh trust me darling, I know.” He smirked, reaching for my neck, and in a flash my dress was off. “Hmm. Nice skills. It takes my husband about a minute to do that.” His fingers trailed up my middle, sending jolts of electricity through me, before palming my bare breasts as I didn’t wear a bra. “I guess I’m just better than your husband.” I stared up at him, my eyes dropping to his smeared lips. I didn’t think he could be any hotter. “I’ll be the judge of that—” He didn’t even wait for me to finish before closing his lips around mine and drawing a moan out of me. Gosh, I was already soaking wet, and it didn’t even help that all he did was graze my hard nipples with his rough fingers. Letting out a sound of disapproval, I reached for his hands moving it breast down to where it was urgently needed. A quiet chuckle vibrated against my mouth as he pulled away. “I was getting to that.” “Well get to it, moron.” “As you wish, darling.” He drawled, getting on his knees. His eyes then trailed over my body as he peppered kisses down my center. “You have a very beautiful body, Larissa.” That was the second time he was calling me by my name tonight. And I had to admit I did like hearing it. Suddenly, he slipped two fingers beneath my panties, taking me by surprise and stealing my breath. From the look on his face, I expected him to say something about my soaked panties as he slid them off my legs. But instead he pressed his lips to my thighs whispering, “Forgive me but your husband is a very foolish man.” I tried to think of a reply. I really did. But he was busy circling his thumb around my pulsing clit, which made it impossibly hard to think. “I had no idea I’d done such a good job at getting you ready for me.” His voice was thick with lust, like he was holding himself back as he pumped his fingers in and out of me. “Oh hush.” The words were barely a whisper. A whimper of disapproval escaped my throat when I felt the absence of his fingers and I looked down only to find him staring up at me as he grabbed my thighs—hands anchoring me in place as he leaned in closing his mouth around my swollen pussy. And I wasn’t prepared at all for the sensation that followed. “Oh fuck.” I cursed as he sucked on my clit—his tongue lapping on my juices like it was the last drop of sweetness, and he was insatiable. My head tilted back as my body tightened in response and I didn’t even realize when I had slipped my fingers into his hair, tugging on it as my toes curled in immense pleasure. God, he really was better than Zephan. It hasn’t even been up to a minute and I could already feel my orgasm building up. Just then, he let out a small groan as he pulled away, his mouth glistening with my juices, “You taste just as sweet as you look, darling.” I’d barely processed the words when I felt two fingers inside me again, moving relentlessly and not slowing down for a second. “Mmm—oh God.” My eyes fluttered shut as sparks rippled through me and I didn’t think it could get any better until he paired his working hands with his fast tongue. And before I knew it, I was jerking uncontrollably and coming all over his face. Those were the words that healed everything that had been broken, brought back the girl that once knew there was love and hope in the words.“A penny for your thoughts?” harl whispered, his lips brushing my cheeks as he held unto our little girl.I sighed, slowly rubbing my protruding stomach, he wasn’t lying when he said he was going to make sure I stayed pregnant. “Nothing, just remembering when you had asked me to marry you,” I whispered. He smiled, “best… one of the best days of my life.”It was mine too.The sound of shrill laughter and footsteps echoing through the building caused our heads to turn, “they are here,” I whispered, watching with a smile as Lennie’s kids ran through the hallway. Larissa’s Pov“Harl.” I moaned, my body arcing from the bed as I tried to hold onto the bedsheet. This was my life now, the one I couldn’t stop loving. Waking up to the sunrise with Harl between my thighs eating me out as if this was his last meal. I could die happy.“Please,” I whimpered, my body seeking the release that he was delaying. He growled, the vibrations washing through me, causing me to tighten my thighs around his head, just as pleasure shot through me, “fuck!” I screamed, feeling the orgasm crash through me.“Good morning gorgeous,” he grinned, his head slowly rushing from between my thighs. “Did I mention that you look so gorgeous this morning?” he whispered, leaning over to plant a kiss on my lips.I didn’t mind, didn’t care even though my tongue tasted myself on his lips. All I would always want is to have his tongue on my body. “Will it always be like this?” I whispered, unable to hold the little flicker of doubt that lingered in my chest. He grinned, “Each day wil
Larissa’s PovA few days later.“What do you think you are doing?” Harl whispered, his breath fanning the outer shell of my ear as he wrapped his hand around my waist, pulling me closer to his chest. My breath hitched as my back came in contact with his chest, enjoying the way it felt to have the taut muscle against mine. His fingers drew soft patterns on my slowly protruding stomach. I had moved in the night when asked me to, but was never shy to bask in his touch.“Hmm? Did I tell you that you aren’t meant to do any heavy lifting when it comes to anything around the house?” he glowed. My thighs clenched at the feel of his voice. Living with Harl isn’t hard, but what was hard was the fact that he had refused to do anything… “Larissa?” he called out softly.I bit my lower lip, snapping myself back to reality, “i…” I cleared my throat, forcing down the image that burned in my mind. “I just wanted to make sure that we had this picture placed here, I whispered. Harl’s PovMaybe it was a hopeless dream, but I didn’t care. She had kissed me and that is all that rang through my head. Dinner wasn’t bad, we had talked, stayed clear of things that would ring of sadness; Zephan and Sabrina.Watching her smile, and chat was liberating. ‘I love you.’ The words had rung in my head a thousand more times than they should, the urge stronger than the former. But every time is aw the look on her face, that fear that flickered in her orbs, I knew she wasn’t ready to hear the words yet.“Someone looks excited,” Darius teased behind me as I walked into his office.I ignored his teasing as I slumped into the chair, grabbing the glass of whiskey that was on the table, “Well, just had the best date I could ever dream of,” I muttered, taking a huge swing. I needed to quell the ache that I felt in my chest. The minute I drove her back to Lennie's house, I knew this wasn’t the way I wanted our evenings to end.I knew that I needed us to be home together, watching

Maybe I wasn’t thinking straight. You know what? Scratch that, I wasn’t thinking straight, because all that I knew was that, I needed him here.He grinned, “Okay,” his tone low as he stared at me. “Anything you want me to be I will be that.”“Come on,” I said, fighting back the words that had threatened to slide through my lips. If I said it, I wasn’t sure how he would react.“Mrs Vale…”“Just Larissa!” Harl snapped, shooting the nurse a glare.I moved forward, standing between him and the terrified nurse, I remember her, she was the last person who had spoken to Monica. “I am sorry about my friend, he is just cranky,” I said the bad joke, hoping to quell the mood in the room.Harl scoffed, but said nothing when he noticed my pinning gaze. I smiled at the nurse, “Is doctor kale in?”“Let
