LOGIN“I…” He cut himself off, hesitating, before trying again. The words he pushed out of his lips, shy but sure, surprised me. “I want to fuck you for a change.” My eyes widened, stunned. What? “I want to know if you cum from a cock in your ass,” he continued softly. If he knew who I was under this mask— Slight unease settled in my chest, but I already knew I would do it. I needed money… and the thought of sex with Aaron, in this way it was offered, was… scintillating. A new guilty pleasure. — There’s a pecking order at William-Alfie High School and Jack is at the top of it. But he shouldn’t. Because that pyramid is strictly held up by money, and over the summer Jack’s parents have gone bankrupt. They’ve managed to keep it a secret, but Jack has to work at a sex club to make enough to keep up the illusion at school. When Aaron Smithy, a usual pushover, stands up to him in the cafeteria, Jack is afraid word has started to spread especially after he puts Jack in his place and he still retaliates by giving him food poisoning. Except he didn’t. Aaron’s bravado ended in the cafeteria. But Jack keeps coming at him so he has no choice but to defend himself, even as he has bigger fish to fry as he slowly falls in love with a sex worker who has refused to show his face. By the end of the school year, their relationship has morphed into a tangled web of complexity that leaves Jack alone, naked and in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Will Aaron come to his rescue? Or will the newly-fallen shining star implode under it all?
View MoreDesperately, my sword found her left side, and I stabbed her, with only a few seconds left on the clock.
Yes!
A small smattering of enthusiastic applause and even a cheer echoed through the room as our Coach, and referee, called out a point for me.
I took off my head gear, grinning. Marilyn, my opponent, one of only six in the entire school, did too. She mustered up a smile, even though I could tell she was a little disappointed. She'd been the first rated fencer for a year now, I'd heard.
She nodded at me and walked off. A warm glow had begun in my chest and was spreading all over me. I felt like I could walk on water if I tried hard enough. Beating Marilyn, even if it was by a close call, was a great achievement and it puffed up my chest.
It was just fencing… but I felt invincible.
Kyle walked up to meet me, with a grin mirroring mine. “Congratulations Double A,” he started, as I began to walk to the changing room, “I'm not sure what happened exactly but apparently you did great. Lunch is on me.”
“Thanks,” I chuckled, as we walked into the room.
“Anything for the birthday boy,” he nodded, and waited a few paces away as I stripped out of my whites and put my shorts and shirt back on. Then we left and made our way to the cafeteria.
I couldn't stop smiling. I'd already gotten a gift being the top rated fencer in the school. Kyle had promised his gift would blow my mind later tonight, that it was of epic proportions. I knew my partners would have also decorated my room with theirs too, hopefully from the host of hints I had been dropping all month.
It was a good day to turn seventeen.
After getting our lunch, we sat down across from each other to eat. I was almost done with my burger, listening to Kyle vehemently defend a shitty movie we watched weeks ago, one I didn't even remember the name anymore, when I felt wetness on my back.
“The fuck?” I exclaimed, turning back to see what or who had caused that.
At the moment I wasn't thinking. Maybe if I had, Kyle’s face would have stopped me as the expression on it changed to one of fear. But all my mind was focused on was getting to the bottom of the wet mystery.
My eyes met with none other than Jack Pierce and I knew I had made a big mistake. “What the fuck did you say?” he growled, stepping closer.
The way Kyle didn't understand fencing was the way I didn't understand hockey but if there was one thing even I knew it was that Jack was exceptional at it, had been for years. That, combined with the money that the Pierce name afforded him, made him basically a law unto himself.
My family did well for ourselves but not as much as The Pierce Vineyard. They were a global wine powerhouse run locally and made him something of royalty within these four walls, walls I was sure his family built at least one.
So I was in trouble and I should step back. I should roll over, show my belly and let it be over and done with. The apology was on the tip of my tongue… but there it stayed.
Because… fuck him, really.
He had tormented ever since the beginning of school, with the hurtful names and sometimes, physical pain.
His family was rich, so what?
We were all just students! And he was a seventeen year old boy, just like I was now! Just like a lot of us were. Why did we keep letting him lord over us?
Not today.
No more.
So opened my mouth and did what I had never done in the years Jack Pierce had existed beside me.
“Your water touched me.”
Shakily, yet still defiantly, the words floated around the full but quiet cafeteria. There were tiny gasps of surprise all round, eyes going comically wide but I ignored them.
Touched was even a soft word. The water bottle must have fallen out of the designer bag somehow as he passed me, shattering on impact. Both of us were in the splash zone and got equally affected. My back was soaked, and so was his front and expensive shoes.
Half twisted out of my seat, and focused on Jack I saw the exact moment, a cruel look took over his face. My heart rate sped up as I struggled to keep my emotions off my face.
The bag, one I’d seen an influencer make an ad about just last week, dropped from his hand, his face mask of barely concealed anger.
I swallowed, struggling to hold on to my bravado with both hands. He stepped forward, and our eyes met for a moment.
It was one of the toughest things I'd had to do but held his gaze. He should understand that this was me telling him we were getting too old for this, next year we'd be adults and in college. This whole thing was stupid, and I wasn't going to stand for it.
It felt like the cafeteria itself was holding its breath. A second passed, then two. My shoulders were beginning to relax.
Then Jack's hand shot out, grabbing me by both skin and the fabric of my T-shirt.
A surprised yelp escaped my throat as he pulled me out of my seat, pain flaring from the point of contact. Everybody seemed to lean away from me, another gasp going through the crowd.
Immediately my body was tossed to the floor and I wasn’t able to catch myself, slipping. My knees stung as they scraped against the jagged plastic shards, my head slamming against the floor in a way that made me groan.
Before I could even process it, Jack was on top of me, his hands holding my wavy brown strands in a punishing grip.
“Get me water.”
I heard the harsh command groggily. What? Why? What for? I did know that I would rather not find out though.
I bucked under him, trying to throw him off with all my might but his legs were clenched around me like an iron vice, and the hand in my hair didn't waver.
It was barely a few seconds later when he tugged my hair, making my neck arch backward and he poured water straight into my face.
Fuck!
I spluttered, hands flailing about as the water just kept on coming, sliding into my nose and mouth. When it felt like I might actually drown, the water stopped, and I took a noisy, frantic breath.
Then he did it again.
It was even worse this time, because I barely finished exhaling when the assault started all over again. By the time he allowed me to breathe again, tears had mixed in with the water soundlessly because anytime I opened my mouth it was filled with water.
I cant… I… Stop!
“Now let's try that again,” he announced loudly. “I said, ‘what the fuck did you say?’”
AARON'S POVMy heart slammed hard against my ribs.Nobody moved. The entire cafeteria had gone eerily still, every pair of eyes fixed on the scene unfolding in front of us.Sera's face had completely drained of color."I..." she whispered again, her voice barely audible. "Jack... please..."Jack didn't blink. "Don't waste my time.”His voice wasn't loud. It didn't need to be because it sounded really terrifying.Sera looked desperately toward her friends. None of them looked at her. Their heads were lowered as they fiddled with their nails. One by one, they slowly stepped farther back, pretending they had nothing to do with this.Cowards.My stomach twisted. This wasn't right. No matter what she'd done, this wasn't right. The whispers around us grew louder."Is she actually going to do it?""There's no way...""Dude, start recording."Within seconds, several phones were raised into the air. More students gathered around us, forming a loose circle. Some looked horrified while others lo
AARON'S POVKyle took a sip from his drink before looking at me. "So..." he said. "How did the makeup test go?"My chest tightened, recalling how Jack and I had spent some time in the classroom, redoing a test. I recalled how my pen had fallen and how we had both reached for it. Then, our fingers brushed lightly. My stomach flipped.I recalled how Jack had asked if the injury on my head was hurting which made me wonder if he had actually seen me walk into that locker. My hand instinctively drifted toward the sore spot on my forehead. So he really had seen it. He had seen me walk straight into that locker.Fuck.I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.I forced myself back to the present and shrugged. “I passed." I replied Kyle.Kyle's eyes lit up. "Wow… really?"I nodded once, resisting the urge to look at Jack again. The last time my eyes wandered in his direction, I found the new girl pouting at him while tugging lightly on his sleeve. I had looked away almost immediately, but not
JACK'S POVMy phone vibrated just as I unlocked it. For a second, I simply stared at the screen.Aaron.A slow smile found its way onto my face before I could stop it.He had booked. After everything that had happened the other night, after the awkward silence and the way he'd walked out of the club without looking back, I had honestly thought he wouldn't come again. My thumb hovered over his name as I reread his name for what was probably the fifth time.Tonight. I was going to see him tonight. The thought settled warmly in my chest. I didn't even realize I was smiling until I felt someone looking at me.I lifted my head.Across the cafeteria, Aaron was staring at me. The moment our eyes met, he looked away. The corner of my lips lifted again. His reaction was becoming strangely adorable.I let my gaze linger on him for another second before a sudden warmth hit my left ear."What the…" I jerked instinctively, nearly dropping my phone, and slapped a hand over my ear before turning.C
AARON'S POVAll heads turned toward the cafeteria entrance as whispers began as usual."So the rumors are actually true.""Damn... she's even prettier up close.""Jack really has good taste.""Look at her skin.""Seriously, what skincare products does she use?"Their voices blended together into one noisy wave of admiration. My eyes stayed on the girl as she walked beside Jack, and before I could stop myself, my mind drifted back to earlier. She had waved and smiled at me.Did she actually know me?That didn't make any sense because I had never seen her before today.Maybe she had only been smiling at someone behind me. Maybe I had just imagined the whole thing. That had to be it.But still, I couldn't shake the feeling that that smile had been meant for me.My gaze slowly shifted from her to Jack. Almost immediately, his eyes found mine like he had been searching for me.A light smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. My stomach flipped as I quickly looked away."Who's she?" Chloe a
JACK'S POV “The way you sound when you say my name.”I shouldn’t have said that, but it was true. There was something soft and careful in the way he said ‘Jay’.But that wasn't my name. A flicker of irritation surged through me. I looked away, running a hand through my hair.I wanted—just once—to
AARON'S POV My arms tightened around him.I didn’t even realize how hard I was holding on until my fingers curled into his coat, gripping like I was afraid to let go.My face was buried against his chest, my breathing uneven, my heart still racing from everything that had just happened. For a mome
JACK’S POVI gritted my teeth as I pulled on my turtleneck and left the locker room.To be honest, I got scared for a moment there. I didn’t even think before I slapped his hand away. What if he found out I was Jay—the masked sex worker he’d almost fucked last night? All because of these stupid hic
JACK’S POVAmused? That was an understatement.Throughout all the time I’d spent working as a sex worker, no client had ever taken the lead. I always took the lead because my job was to please them. But now, a nerdy boy had just asked if he could fuck me for a change. Not just any nerd but Aaron–
