LOGINNow this is something new and incredibly juicy. I studied Jeffrey's expression since I was good at reading people to see if he was lying but he seemed to be telling the truth.
"If you're lying to me James...
" It's Jerry boss," Flex corrected again and I swear to literal Jesus I was seconds away from cutting his tongue off and giving it to Jerry as souvenir. Yet I drew in a deep breath then continued." If I find out you're lying to me, I wouldn't come for you_ I'll come for the people you love the most."
He shook his head vigorously. "No please. I'm not lying. Please."
I let Flex untie the man and send him away. While I remained in my spot processing the piece of info he gave me. Alexander Greyford again. He had a pregnant mistress then he wanted to get rid of his wife. Now this is something straight out of those true crime show grandmother loved to watched.
The sound of my phone ringing drew my attention, I turned toward my phone pressing the answer button hastily when I saw it was a call from the hospital.
"Mr. Blackwell, your wife is awake."
The news as well as the doctor referring to Ayanna as my wife brought a smile to my face. I quickly shoved to my feet taking my phone and car key.
With the speed at which I drove, it didn't take long to get to the hospital. Adrenaline coursed through my veins with every step I took towards Ayanna's wards.
"I need to go home. Father wanted to see me before the incident,"came Ayanna's voice just as I was about to open the door and my hand paused at the doorknob.
"Ayanna, you just woke up from a coma after a life threatening accident. You almost died, yet your Father didn't even bother to look for you. He's probably more worried about his business than he is about you."
"You know why I always stress when it comes to Father, Li. I have to obey him because of mother. I can't afford to let her suffer because of me." As I listened to her conversation, my fist clenched tightly around the door knob. So there where two villains in her life_ her father and husband. Though I had many enemies of my own, I didn't mind adding a few more to my list because whoever was Ayanna's enemy was mine also.I waited for a few seconds more before knocking. There was no reply still i pushed open the door. Immediately, Four pair of eyes turned in my direction.
"Rain."
"Gigolo."
They said at the same time. Her friend Olivia Bradford cleared her throat after addressing me as a gigolo. Then she quickly got up from where she sat beside Ayanna on the bed .
"I'll excuse you," she placed a gentle kiss on Ayanna's head before leaving. I waited until she was gone before moving toward Ayanna. She watched me cautiously as I approached her, adjusting her sitting position with a sigh then she spoke as soon as I stopped in front of her.
"A nurse told me it was you who saved me," her tone was calm and filled with gratitude "Thank you. Thank you so much Rain."
I looked down at her, my heart clenching tightly in my chest as memories came flooding back. She could've died. I'd have lost her even before I had her fully. The thought alone sent a wave of bitterness and anger through me.
"I owe you my life I don't even know how to pay yo...,"
I cut her off, slamming my lips against hers as I lowered myself to her level. I kissed her like she was all I needed to survive at that moment, nibbling on her sweet lips and sucking on her tongue. Ayanna Coleman had no idea the hold she had on me. I'd hastily jump into an abyss to save her. And I was fastly losing the little sanity I had left.
I pulled away, staring into her clear beautiful hazel eyes. "Use me," I whispered. "Let me belong to you. Let me be your shield, your male escort whatever you want me to be. Let me be your weapon, fighting against those who stand against you whoever they might be. Just let me belong to you Ayanna. Stop pushing me away."
"I ..." She started but paused looking at me intently. Was she going to reject me again? I clenched my fist at the thought my grip on her becoming more tighter than I intended it too.
"I don't mind being your dirty secret. No one has to know if you don't want them to," I pushed, knowing fully well that even if she rejected me, I wasn't letting her go.
She remained slient, taking her gaze from me and glancing at her fingers as though
they suddenly became interesting.
"I need to leave now. I can't keep staying here. I want to see mother so she won't worry. I also need to squash rumors of me being dead."
She changed the subject. Though I wanted to keep pushing, I let it go. it was only a matter of time. Ayanna would accept me and I'll uproot everything and everyone that was standing in my path of getting her starting with her husband.
" Okay, I'll only take you home if the doctor says it's okay to do so."
...I cast occasionally glances at Ayanna as I drove her to house. She didn't need to give me directions, I already knew where she lived with her husband. Where her parents lived. I knew almost everything about Ayanna Coleman from the perfume she uses, her favorite flower, her favorite color, her hobbies, down to the places she frequented.
Ayanna gaze was fixed on the road. Her finger lightly tapping a slient rhythm against her thighs. She seemed lost in thoughts occasionally sighing but remained slient She's been slient since we left the hospital and her silence was eating me up.I wanted her to say something, anything. However we soon pulled up in front of her parents house. I reached out to touch her just as she reaches for the door. My hand stops midway because she was fast.
"Thank you," she says without looking at me, and I clenched my fist, resisting the urge to go after her. I signed in disappointment, glancing over at my phone which beeped with a message, a frown tugging at my lips.
"Rain," my attention quickly snaps from my phone toward the woman who'd called my name. I thought she left. My heart raced as she pops her head into the car, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
"Can I have your number. I'll call you."
ALEX Ayanna's chauffeur dropped her off in front of the Elite hotel. One of the many hotels belonging to the Blackwell's. I didn't want to jump to conclusion that she was meeting with Rain Blackwell just because she came to one of the Blackwell's hotel. It could be someone else, a friend, a client yet I couldn't shake the initial feeling off.Dressed in a backless red silk dress that clung to her body like a second skin, Ayanna drew the attention of all those who passed by as she gracefully walked into the hotel. My phone beeped just then and I looked the message that appeared on it, not mine but Ayanna's message to the anonymous person she was meeting."I'm already here, see you in a minute."Rage surged through me as I read the message, my grip tightening on the stirring wheel until my knuckles turned white. I desperately hoped my intuition was wrong, that Ayanna wasn't cheating on me. The mere thought ignited an unadulterated rage. That she was no longer useful to me didn't make i
ALEX What the f*ck. This place was creepy as hell. An abandoned warehouse at the outskirt of town. It was hidden in a maze of trees I wouldn't have found it if not for the use of GPS. Who the hell was this psychopath who knew about my affair with Kate and what did he want? Why make me come all the way to a place like this?I parked my car in front of the warehouse, heaving a sigh as I slowly stepped out. My legs trembled as I walked and adrenaline course through me at the thought of finally meeting whoever this person was. I'd come alone like the anonymous person instructed but I'd shared my location with Kate just in case.Distant howl echoed through the forest and I trembled in fear increasing my pace toward the warehouse. The door swung open with a shriek when I pushed it and I flinched, glancing around before I walked in. The places was empty, except for the table which sat at the middle of the room with a single lit candle which dimly illuminated the place. The anonymous person
RAINmy expression changed the moment I arrived at grandfather's mansion. Though the dinner was supposed to be by 8.pm I came by 9.pm. purposely delaying to avoid much of the family drama. Heaving a sigh, I walked into the house. Their loud voices welcomed me even before I got to the dining hall."That arrogant brat, he has absolutely no regard for us his elders. Everyone was here by eight except him. If he can't even respect us now, what happens when he finally wears the crown," that high pitched annoying voice belonged to Vivian Blackwell, my second aunt. She was maniputive. Always looking for ways to remove me as the heir of the Blackwell family and give it to her son even though he wasn't a Blackwell."You do make a good point Vivian_ once I wear the crown as the head of the Blackwell family, the first thing I'll do is strip off your right to the Blackwell name. You're married now, you should take your husband's name, stop clinging to the Blackwell name so desperately. Secondly I
"Mr.Blackwell, it is said in your file that you have an unhealthy obsession with a married woman."She looked up for the file with a curious expression and I shrugged."It's not an unhealthy obsession. It's more like an intense obsession and love for her. I desire to claim her for myself, to protect her even if it means killing the bastard she calls her husband. I'd say the urge to kill him grows each day. I sometimes find myself fantasizing over it," I smiled sadistically as I spoke. Suddenly this therapy session didn't seem so absurd I now had someone to share my sinister intentions with. She observed me for a while, an unreadable expression on her face."I'd like it if you address me as Margaret, going forward. she finally broke the silence. "How about you tell me more about this woman, when and how did you meet her?"I thought back to the time I met Ayanna. You probably thought it was the night she approached me at the club. However Ayanna and I met long before that, I was probab
After I left the room I returned to the guest room where Ayanna was, kissed her forehead and lips before leaving....As soon as I walked into my living room, I found Mason sitting on the couch, he slowly glanced up at me, disapproval written all over his face. I get him, it was almost 4 a.m and I was just coming back home after visiting a lover."I'll schedule you an appointment with a therapist to help with your unhealthy obsession," Was all he said before sauntering off to his quarters.Heaving a sigh, I threw myself into the nearest couch. Could my obsession really be cured? Perhaps I should give it a try. I pushed the thought aside as I pulled the spare phone I bought recently from my pocket. It had a chip installed in it to make every call and text untraceable.I smiled sinisterly as I typed a message pressing send before closing my eyes to sleep.Morning came in a flash, I groaned as I stood up, the aroma of food filling the air. I checked the time on my phone, it was 7.am. ju
I gently removed his hand from my shoulder, heaving a sigh as I turn to face him. "Not tonight Alex, I had a long day but go take a quick shower and come, I'll put you to sleep."Reluctantly, he left and I breath a sigh of relief as I resumed drying my hair. By the time he came out of the bathroom I was in my pajamas sitting on the bed. As much as I wanted to sleep before he came, I couldn't bring myself to, not when he was after my life.I helped him dry his hair and helped him into his pajamas like I always do, then I pulled him to bed with me, making him rest his head on my thigh then I slowly massaged his head while humming a soft melody. I always did this. To him I was showing him affection, that may have been the case yet right now I was simply putting my enemy to sleep so I could sleep also. Once I heard his snores, I patted him several times to be sure he'd truly fallen asleep, carefully removing his head from my lap before leaving the room with my pillow. My phone beeped as
I stopped on my track, my heart beating in trepidation. She couldn't possibly know about my relationship with Rain Blackwell. Perhaps it was based on assumptions after Rain acted so familiar with me back there. That had to be it.Kate was just trying to rile me up so I'd fall right into her trap. B
My breath caught in my lungs as I turn toward the door, my gaze meeting his. What a coincidence? And what cruel game was fate playing with me.Rain Blackwell held my gaze for a while then his gaze moved to Alex. His expression suddenly darkened. The man who was with him was also familiar. He was t
I noticed him tense but that didn't stop me. "Such a bastard, he's married yet cheats on his wife. If he's not in love with his wife, why marry her in the first place. Whoever posted this pictures should've showed his face also."The hair stylist agreed with me by nodding her head. "He should be ca
AYANNA Alex said his parents wanted to have lunch with us. So here I was dressed in a kneel length, off-shoulder white dress and white shoes to match. My hair, neatly styled in a low bun then I wore gold earrings to match the gold necklace Rain had given to me.Though we had our chauffeur driving
