LOGINMy breath caught in my lungs as I turn toward the door, my gaze meeting his. What a coincidence? And what cruel game was fate playing with me.
Rain Blackwell held my gaze for a while then his gaze moved to Alex. His expression suddenly darkened.
The man who was with him was also familiar. He was the man who's car Olivia had wrecked. His gaze was fixed on Olivia and his expression grim.
"Rain Blackwell, Aaron white," Kate beamed excitement in her tone. I noticed Alex clenched his fist but said nothing. "Oh my God, we should invite them to join us," she was up before anyone could approve or object. The three of us watched as she went to Rain. He initially had a deep scowl on his face as she approached but after she said something to him, his gaze moved towards me and the corner of his lip lifted into a smirk."There's no way he'd agree to her request. He's too... Olivia was speaking but her words were cut short the moment Rain and his friend began to approach our table.
Alex got on his feet the moment Rain stood before us. "Mr.. Blackwell, Mr.white," he greeted with a smile. He couldn't ignored Rain even if he wanted to after all he was still trying to gain his approval.
"I hear you wanted to invite us for a meal. miss Williams insisted and she was so polite I couldn't refuse her even if I wanted to."His gaze was on me the whole time and I did my best to avoid it. "Oh, I should get you seats."
Alex offered since our table was big enough to host about eight people but only had four seats.
"How nice of you Mr. Greyford," Rain muttered giving way for Alex but as soon as Alex moved, Rain settled on his seat with a wicked smirk on his lips.
Aaron hesitated for a while, the scowl on his face intense as he took Kate's seat. "We meet again, miss Bradford," he said to Olivia. Olivia picked her glass of water and sip it acting innocent.
"I'm afraid you got the wrong person, Redflag...I mean Mr.white."
"Is that so...His brow furrowed in amusement. "I'm certain I have the right person."
I couldn't even be bothered to interfere since I had my own demon seating beside me in beautiful human skin. I did my best to not look at him focusing on my meal even though I could no longer savor the taste.
"Miss Williams, thanks for the invite," Rain mumbled and I looked up finding Kate standing there with an awkward expression on her face. She was the one who'd invited them but she was left standing. She look pathetic and I was secretly thrilled.
Alex returned with two seats his burrowing furrowing into a scowl at the sight before he quickly put on a fake smile.
He placed one of the seat beside Aaron white for Kate and the other at my right hand side where he sat.The atmosphere suddenly became tensed and awkward and even others who'd entered the restaurant to eat gave us second glances as they passed.
"Drama,"Olivia mouth silently, winking at me.
She suddenly picked her phone and typed something and soon my phone beeped.
"How does it feel to be with your husband and beautiful side piece?"
I quickly hid my phone so Alex wouldn't see it. Then cleared my throat. Adrenaline rushed through me and my heart pounded so fast against my chest I fear it may burst.
"Mr. Blackwell since we invited you over, we must buy you a meal. Alex, it's your threat," Olivia finally broke the awkward silence, followed by Rain.
"I'll have whatever Ayanna is having," he said casually without looking at me though the corner of his lips lifted up slightly into a cruel smirk.
I coughed drinking from my glass of water, then I wiped a little droplet on my lips. "Why would you have what I'm having Mr.Blackwell?" I gritted, hoping Alex wouldn't see how affected I was.
"Have you forgotten we have the same taste,"
How could this crazy man play such games? Alex would surely get suspicious at this rate.
Rain ignored my reaction then picked up my glass of water_ like the actual one I just drank from and slowly drank from it also.
I coughed_ again. Olivia coughed too. Aaron white cleared his throat, amusement written all over his face. Beside me Alex clenched his hand so tight his knuckles were white. His neck veins bulged from hard he was gritting his teeth. The muscles on his face twitched violently, for a moment I thought he might explode. As for Kate, I'd describe her expression as horrified. She pointed at me then the glass Alex drank from, stuttering"M...Mr Blackwell that's Ayanna's glass she just drank from it."
"Soo..."Rain retorted nonchalantly, setting the glass back onto the table, though his finger tips still grazed the rim of the cup where a little lip stick mark was smudged.
"Is there a problem miss Williams?"
He furrowed his brow slightly assessing her and waiting for her to sprout an accusation . I'd expected her to but she just kept her mouth shut and slowly shook her head, her gaze moving toward Alex afterwards.
"I need to use the restroom," I quickly rose fromy seat, turning to Alex on gaze was on Kate. He hastily took his eyes away, nodded at me with a faint smile.
As I walked away from the table, doing my best to avoid Rain's gaze. Once inside the bathroom, I rested my back against the door and heaved a deep sigh. That was so intense. What the hell is Rain Blackwell thinking? He's f*cking crazy.
I released another sigh, crouching to the floor with my face in my palm. I stayed like that for a few minutes heading to the tap and sprinkling water on my face.
The moment I left the restroom, I bumped into Kate. Her step slowed when she saw me and she looked me up and down the shy facade from before dropping. Her gaze flashed with malicious intent but I didn't cower. I stare right back at the bitch my head raised arrogantly.
She thinks she could have one on me just because she was sleeping with my husband. What a joke!
"You're not so innocent as you seem cousin. Look at you, a married woman yet going around trying to seduce other men. You're a disgrace to womanhood."
I almost laughed right then. Can you image pot calling kettle black.
"Oh so you finally discarded the act_ I think you more than anyone knows who's the true disgrace to womanhood after all you're a cheap mistress. Are you mad that the man you're sleeping with cannot make you a wife. He has to hide you like a dirty little secret you are. That must be it, that's why you think you can pour your anger on me. Or do I look like the man you're sleeping with .. Listen Kate, I don't have time for the likes of you,"
I started walking away before she could speak again but certainly she wasn't one to quit. I heard her footsteps pounding after me.
"What would Alex think when he finds out you're cheating on him."
ALEX Ayanna's chauffeur dropped her off in front of the Elite hotel. One of the many hotels belonging to the Blackwell's. I didn't want to jump to conclusion that she was meeting with Rain Blackwell just because she came to one of the Blackwell's hotel. It could be someone else, a friend, a client yet I couldn't shake the initial feeling off.Dressed in a backless red silk dress that clung to her body like a second skin, Ayanna drew the attention of all those who passed by as she gracefully walked into the hotel. My phone beeped just then and I looked the message that appeared on it, not mine but Ayanna's message to the anonymous person she was meeting."I'm already here, see you in a minute."Rage surged through me as I read the message, my grip tightening on the stirring wheel until my knuckles turned white. I desperately hoped my intuition was wrong, that Ayanna wasn't cheating on me. The mere thought ignited an unadulterated rage. That she was no longer useful to me didn't make i
ALEX What the f*ck. This place was creepy as hell. An abandoned warehouse at the outskirt of town. It was hidden in a maze of trees I wouldn't have found it if not for the use of GPS. Who the hell was this psychopath who knew about my affair with Kate and what did he want? Why make me come all the way to a place like this?I parked my car in front of the warehouse, heaving a sigh as I slowly stepped out. My legs trembled as I walked and adrenaline course through me at the thought of finally meeting whoever this person was. I'd come alone like the anonymous person instructed but I'd shared my location with Kate just in case.Distant howl echoed through the forest and I trembled in fear increasing my pace toward the warehouse. The door swung open with a shriek when I pushed it and I flinched, glancing around before I walked in. The places was empty, except for the table which sat at the middle of the room with a single lit candle which dimly illuminated the place. The anonymous person
RAINmy expression changed the moment I arrived at grandfather's mansion. Though the dinner was supposed to be by 8.pm I came by 9.pm. purposely delaying to avoid much of the family drama. Heaving a sigh, I walked into the house. Their loud voices welcomed me even before I got to the dining hall."That arrogant brat, he has absolutely no regard for us his elders. Everyone was here by eight except him. If he can't even respect us now, what happens when he finally wears the crown," that high pitched annoying voice belonged to Vivian Blackwell, my second aunt. She was maniputive. Always looking for ways to remove me as the heir of the Blackwell family and give it to her son even though he wasn't a Blackwell."You do make a good point Vivian_ once I wear the crown as the head of the Blackwell family, the first thing I'll do is strip off your right to the Blackwell name. You're married now, you should take your husband's name, stop clinging to the Blackwell name so desperately. Secondly I
"Mr.Blackwell, it is said in your file that you have an unhealthy obsession with a married woman."She looked up for the file with a curious expression and I shrugged."It's not an unhealthy obsession. It's more like an intense obsession and love for her. I desire to claim her for myself, to protect her even if it means killing the bastard she calls her husband. I'd say the urge to kill him grows each day. I sometimes find myself fantasizing over it," I smiled sadistically as I spoke. Suddenly this therapy session didn't seem so absurd I now had someone to share my sinister intentions with. She observed me for a while, an unreadable expression on her face."I'd like it if you address me as Margaret, going forward. she finally broke the silence. "How about you tell me more about this woman, when and how did you meet her?"I thought back to the time I met Ayanna. You probably thought it was the night she approached me at the club. However Ayanna and I met long before that, I was probab
After I left the room I returned to the guest room where Ayanna was, kissed her forehead and lips before leaving....As soon as I walked into my living room, I found Mason sitting on the couch, he slowly glanced up at me, disapproval written all over his face. I get him, it was almost 4 a.m and I was just coming back home after visiting a lover."I'll schedule you an appointment with a therapist to help with your unhealthy obsession," Was all he said before sauntering off to his quarters.Heaving a sigh, I threw myself into the nearest couch. Could my obsession really be cured? Perhaps I should give it a try. I pushed the thought aside as I pulled the spare phone I bought recently from my pocket. It had a chip installed in it to make every call and text untraceable.I smiled sinisterly as I typed a message pressing send before closing my eyes to sleep.Morning came in a flash, I groaned as I stood up, the aroma of food filling the air. I checked the time on my phone, it was 7.am. ju
I gently removed his hand from my shoulder, heaving a sigh as I turn to face him. "Not tonight Alex, I had a long day but go take a quick shower and come, I'll put you to sleep."Reluctantly, he left and I breath a sigh of relief as I resumed drying my hair. By the time he came out of the bathroom I was in my pajamas sitting on the bed. As much as I wanted to sleep before he came, I couldn't bring myself to, not when he was after my life.I helped him dry his hair and helped him into his pajamas like I always do, then I pulled him to bed with me, making him rest his head on my thigh then I slowly massaged his head while humming a soft melody. I always did this. To him I was showing him affection, that may have been the case yet right now I was simply putting my enemy to sleep so I could sleep also. Once I heard his snores, I patted him several times to be sure he'd truly fallen asleep, carefully removing his head from my lap before leaving the room with my pillow. My phone beeped as
RAIN Looking at the contract in my hand, my face slowly twisted into a smile. I finally had Ayanna again. In this dark world of mine I finally found something bright to hold onto. "You're smiling boss. It's unlike you," Mason mumbled tilting his head with an amused look on his face as he studied
AYANNA I felt nervous after I got a reply from Rain Blackwell asking me to meet him outside the house. I draped a fur coat over my night dress and a fluffy fur slippers. Picking up my phone I look back at Mother who was still sleeping soundly before walking out of the room. I passed by Father's r

Now this is something new and incredibly juicy. I studied Jeffrey's expression since I was good at reading people to see if he was lying but he seemed to be telling the truth. "If you're lying to me James... " It's Jerry boss," Flex corrected again and I swear to literal Jesus I was seconds away
