His head throbbed, and his limbs felt extremely sore. Drops of water from the roofing zinc above, fell on his head. Logan opened his eyes slowly, he was lying in a pond of muddy water.

The last thing he remembered was the bullet, and Caine too. Caine stabbed him. “But where am I?” He asked himself.

He tried to get to his feet by throwing his muscular self up like he always did vigilantly when getting up from bed. However, his body felt too weak to even squat.

He grunted as he managed to get up by staggering. He had never felt this weak before. He gritted his teeth as he held onto the pole that was stuck in the ground. He swore that when he found Caine, he would kill him for this betrayal.

It was dark as night had taken over. The only thing illuminating where he sat was a streetlight. He looked around the unfamiliar environment. He didn't know which part of his pack that this was.

He squinted his eyes at the ramshackle houses, low cloth lines, the garbage dumped around and concluded that it must be one of those substandard areas for the poor. The slums perhaps.

“I need to get out of here,” he muttered as he crinkled his nose in disgust and began walking ahead. What startled him more was that he couldn't move as fast as he usually did?

As he walked, he touched the spot where he had been shot and there wasn't any sign of an injury. His skin felt different, even his palm felt different.

As he glanced at one of the houses, his reflection in the window stared back at him and he almost screamed. His hands trembled with fear and confusion.

He walked towards the window and touched his face. It was foreign. He blinked multiple times to make sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him.

“Where did my chiseled face go? I had a scar on my left jaw, where is it? My eyes were never brown, they were black. And my hair, it was jet black, not red or whatever color this is.” Logan shrieked to himself as he studied the face he had never seen before.

He scrubbed his face hard as if trying to clean off the makeover on it, but it turned out it was just his face.

“Get out of there, omega boy. We don't have food today.” He heard a woman's voice shout from the house while he stared at their window.

“Trady, you're out roaming again. Your uncle has been looking for you.” Another woman said and held his hand, leading him with her.

He tried to detach himself from her grip, but that strength he normally had, seemed to elude him.

“Where are you taking me to?” He demanded.

She released her grip on his hand and turned towards him. “Your uncle of course. Or do you prefer I leave you there for Mike to beat you up again? Trady, you're weak and you should understand that you're no match for Mike. Follow me. There's food at home.”

Logan followed the young woman, not because of the incomprehensible jargon that she spilled, but because she mentioned food.

His stomach growled in hunger. After eating, he'd have the strength to demand an explanation, but for now, food was his priority.

He followed her to a house which looked less horrible than the ones he had passed by. Around the dinner table were plates with food, and people seated around eating.

“What's this fool doing back here?” Mike questioned as he stood up and lunged at Logan.

The woman who had brought him in, blocked Mike.

“Uncle asked me to find him.”

Mike huffed in anger and pointed a finger at the confused Logan before returning to his seat.

Uncle Sam, as everyone at the table called him, walked towards Logan and gave him a heavy knock.

Logan stumbled backwards and tears pricked at the corner of his eyes.

“You tried to run away, Trad. Mike was sent to pick you up and you fought with him.” He paused and laughed wryly. “It seems you've forgotten that you have weak legs and you can't run far.”

Logan grabbed the hurting center of his head and Uncle Sam pushed him forward roughly.

“Join the rest and eat. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.”

Logan didn't move to the table. There were four other men like him on the table, all of them looking intimidating and harsh like Mike.

“Didn't you hear? I said you should join your cousins at the table, or do you plan to faint at the auction tomorrow.” Uncle Sam ordered and nudged him roughly again.

The men at the table paused eating and looked at him.

One of them snickered. “What's wrong with Trady?”

“He seems like he's forgotten himself.” Another laughed.

“Perharps, he's planning another escape.”

“But we need to make money off him, so he's got no choice.”

They laughed sarcastically.

Logan's fist curled into balls by his sides.

“Enough!” He shouted at the top of his voice. Logan was shocked when he shouted, because his voice sounded frail and shrill, too weak to be his own.

“Somebody explain this nonsense. Take me back to Moon Valleys packhouse. Is this how you treat your Alpha?” He folded his fist tighter, rage burned in his chest as tiny veins popped out in his hand.

The room grew silent, and suddenly, everyone burst out in laughter, including Uncle Sam and the woman who led him to the house.

“Are you going mad or something?” Uncle Sam said amidst the laughter.

“I think he's preparing for tomorrow's show.”

Their behaviour made Logan get even angrier, he stormed towards one of the men who had been taunting him and grabbed him by the shirt.

“You've had enough fun haven't you. Now, tell me, where is Caine?”

The man hit his hand off his shirt and widened his eyes, obviously shocked by his audacity.

“I see that some screws are loose in your head.”

That statement caused Logan to get even more infuriated. He lunged towards the man and blew him in the face.

The next thing Logan felt was a deafening hit on his head that almost blinded him.

The next day, Logan woke up before Silas. He'd be lying if he said he had enough sleep during the night, because he didn't. He had woken a couple of times during the night, just waking up for no reason at all and staring at the ceiling hard enough. He kept thinking about the next day, if his sister will be found, if everything he wanted to do will actually be possible. He found himself being caught in the same cycle throughout the night—waking up, thinking and going back to sleep. When he woke up, he felt like he had been deprived of sleep. The type of deprivation that you didn't feel sleepy, but still felt sleep deprived. He turned and saw Silas sleeping by the side.Silas had his feet curled up slightly as he slept and Logan thought it was cute. The king was breathing slowly and still sleeping. Logan sat up slowly and gently, not wanting to wake Silas up.Over their time of spending nights together, Logan had come to discover that Silas was a light sleeper. Unlike Logan, Silas could

Logan was still smiling when Silas pulled him closer. The laughter between them had settled into something quieter and warmer and Silas was looking at him with that expression Logan had learned to read over many chapters of being in the same space as him. The one that said he was thinking about something and had already decided to act on it.Logan looked back at him. "What?""Nothing," Silas said. He reached out and pushed Logan's shirt off his shoulder slowly.Logan let him. Silas pushed it further and Logan shrugged it off completely and dropped it beside them. Silas looked at him in the dim light of the room and Logan looked back without covering himself or looking away. That part of him, the part that used to need to argue with every moment between them, was completely quiet now.Silas pulled him in and kissed him and Logan kissed back immediately and put his hands on Silas' chest and felt the warmth of his skin under his palms. Silas was still shirtless from before and Logan ran

LOGAN'S FLASHBACK That night, the family had their dinner. He ate with his father, mother and his twin sister, Elara. The father was saying something about the werewolf farmers who were complaining of their farm animals being killed by strange beasts. Some of the farmers said that the markings on their animals after being ripped apart looked like it was done with fangs. They suspected it was done by a creature and a vampire to be precise.Xavier, Logan's father and the current alpha of the pack didn't believe any of that. He didn't believe that vampires existed and he didn't even believe in the fallen lost city. He just felt like some wild beast had torn the farm animals apart. That was the discussion he had at the dining table with his wife. Logan and his sister were just ten years old then. They paid no attention to what their parents discussed and were more interested in their little sibling quarrel over dinner. They had been tucked into bed to sleep when the sound of gunshots wer

Logan answered his question by kissing Silas deeply. Then he whispered into Silas' ears. “I want to be the one on top this time.”Silas smiled and spread his arms open. “I'm all yours my vampire.”Logan began unbuttoning his shirt. He took off the shirt and then his pants followed suit. He was now naked.Silas looked at him with a smile. “Like I said, I'm all yours.”Silas didn't touch Logan. He allowed him to do his thing. Logan's hands moved and he undid the buttons of Silas' shirt. The shirt came off, then he moved to his pants and slowly took them off.Silas wasn't fully erect, he was still quite dangling. Logan got on his knees and took his partner's cock in his mouth. He sucked it and sucked hard on it and gave him a deep throat. Silas moaned and sank his fingers into Logan's hair.“Come one boy, you're hitting the right spot.” Silas mumbled.Logan took that as motivation. He licked around the pink tip of Silas' cock and licked the edges. When he was done, he got to his feet. Si

Meanwhile, Silas was at his library again. He was waiting with the two men from his council, Rashid and Leon. They had been there for almost an hour and the witch hadn't arrived yet.“Are you sure she said she will be here?” Silas asked as he was getting impatient.Leon nodded. “She told us to meet her at this time at this place. I have no idea why she is late.”Rashid chipped in. “What if she never knew how to fix the crystal ball and was just using us to get the gold and abscond after the payment.”Just when Silas was about to give a response, a knock sounded on the library door.“Come in,” Silas said. The doorknob twisted and the witch stood in front of them with a man by her side. The man was one of the Hericon palace guards. The witch held a basket with one hand. The contents of the basket was covered with a cloth and Silas suspected that it contained the crystal ball. The guard who escorted her bowed and left. The witch entered, closing the door behind her.“My king,” she said,

They finished their meal and Monty pulled Logan to the side, while Oscar left to attend to other issues. They eventually walked to the room—Logan’s room and were alone there.“You said you wanted to tell me something,” Logan said while sitting on the bed.Monty took a deep breath. “I need advice. It is about Theo, my former master. I don't know if he feels the same way for me. You know I said I planned to be a breeder but Theo hasn't said anything about me. It is almost like he has no plans for me. Should I just move on with my life and find something else doing for myself.”Logan inhaled deeply, while processing Monty's words with a lot of carefulness. This was the first time that someone was asking for advice from him. He wasn't an alpha this time giving out orders. Instead, he was meant to give out advice and for some reason, he felt tongue-tied.“Logan,” Monty called out. “Are you even listening to me?”“Yes, I am. I was just thinking of the best answer to give.”He kept quiet for

Silas continued pacing around the room, breathing heavily. He threw the books that sat on the table to the ground. A vivid expression of shock mixed with disgust appeared on Logan's face. He looked behind to confirm if it was truly him that the Lycan king was talking to, or if there was someone else behind him.Silas took his hand to his manhood and stroked it. It hardened a bit, although it still looked flat.
