Natalia's P. O. V"Are you awake now?"I heard as I rolled awake the next morning to some shuffling sound. I jerked awake and found myself in an unfamiliar room but the voice I heard was a familiar one. Elsa. My brain registered the owner of the voice and I took my time to take off the covers and get into a sitting position. However, the shock that awaited me was quite different this time. In the room, I could see lines and lines of luxurious and exotic clothing neatly hanging. From silk tops to Chiffons and patterned organdie tops which could be paired with either a skirt or jeans. My eyes strayed to another line and could see the assorted jeans and different trousers lined on it. I could even spot a couple of jumpsuits and a leopard print palazzo pants. The last line I allowed my gaze to run through before taking them away contained dresses of different styles and length. I could see several heads turned to look in my direction as I descended the grand staircase to get out of the castle and head in the direction of Alpha Draco's office. Elsa led the way while I followed behind her. I wasn't as fascinated today as I was the previous day in admiring the castle as my mind was preoccupied with thoughts of what could probably go down in Alpha Draco's office. Halfway through the distance between the castle's main doors and the outer door, Elsa veered off and approached an open area that had a staircase that led up to a third floor with several offices on the ground, first, second and third floors. Elsa informed me that was the pack's secretariat and everything relating to the governance and wealth management of the pack was handled there. Alpha Draco's office was on the third floor aNd it shared the space with the pack's armoury. Elsa knocked gently on the door and waited for his invitation. I spent the next three days after my tour in complete boredom. The first day after the tour, I had looked forward to Alpha Draco's invitation to his office but to my irritation and utter disappointment, none came. The next two days weren't different either. I tried keeping myself busy with pacing the suite and trying to get myself busy with caring for the flowers on the balcony but none of them could cure me of my boredom. I tried engaging the maids who came and went bearing my food in conversation but none of them was ready to sit and talk with an Alpha's guest who was being treated as a Luna. Every morning, the maids would come in and clean my suite, then run my bath as usual with the rose petals and scented flowers. Then I would be left alone to take my bath. By the time I was done with bathing, I would be propelled towards where my face would be cared for and the clothes to be worn laid out. Such was my routine for the last three days and I was beginning to dread it. I couldn

My thoughts were still centred on the business transaction I had just closed as I kept thinking of the development I would Garner through it from the Eastern kingdom. My thoughts drifted to what was happening to me at the moment. No matter how great I was as Alpha or good my decisions were for the benefit of the pack, it didn't change the fact that I was an Alpha without an heir. It was only a matter of time before uprisings and factions began to arise among the ruling upper class of the clan. If they respected me enough for my great deeds, they may wait until after my death. However, power was a great deceiver. It made people begin to lose themselves in search of their ambitions. Once the complaints begin to come in on my incompetence to land a Luna and have an heir, ambitious people would begin to rear their heads. Those who were eligible would probably come together and challenge me for the position. If I'm able to defeat them, which is unlikely, I would hold onto my position.

Natalia's P.O.V"What! Upper class what?"I screamed in shock with my eyes wide open forgetting that was the very reason I was in this mess or training or whatever name Elsa chose to call it. She had come to my room this morning and informed me of the outcome of her meeting with Alpha Draco the previous day. "Alpha Draco has consented that you are allowed to leave the castle four times a week. Although, you are to do with an escort, preferably a maid and a warrior. However, after assessing you, I've come to realise that you are lacking in the necessary etiquette for ladies of the upper class. The Alpha had agreed to your training and I would be in charge. You would have classes three days in a week and it would be in the mornings after breakfast. You're starting today. Your going out depends on how well you cooperate with the training."She had told me calmly as her girls tidied up the suite and left to run my bath. Her smirk at the end of her speech told me she had me cornered.

Lunch was a rushed affair although Elsa couldn't have known about that. I had to prance about while eagerly waiting for the clock on the dressing table to strike as three.It did as I wanted although I almost got mad at it. Having taken a careful look at my outfit, I took a hurried last look at it and then dashed out of the sitting room into the corridor. I was almost dancing with ecstasy down the stairs when I caught myself and remembered what Elsa had said earlier about Alpha Draco doing all he could in order to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The least I could do was show appreciation even if I didn't want to stay there. I wasn't brought up to be an ingrate. Though Alpha Draco was the man in whose hand my fate lies, he still had humane traits in him and almost not the demon he had been rumoured to be.Although he was still emotionless and I still didn't know about the deaths of his wives, at least to me, he was better than his Beta who enjoyed making people miserable. The tone with which she said that statement jolted me and without knowing what came over me, I became somewhat sad for her. Words were no longer exchanged between us as we neared the entrance to the pack house. As we got to the doors, Alpha Draco was standing guard with several warriors around him. Elsa's words about how he was unbendable but soft inside floated in my mind and I found myself hoping he was probably waiting as the time I was supposed to return was already approaching. We were ordered to halt just as we arrived at the gate and we had to do so as the voice of the warrior was heavily laced with threatening. Without wasting time, Elsa stepped forward and identified herself. All this while, I kept thinking of why Alpha Draco hadn't spoken up in own favor. The fate opened up then abd I turned around fir one last look in his direction. Whst I saw was different. The man I had thought was Alpha Draco wasn't him. However, he was likely the head of the warriors outside or som

The melancholic feeling was setting in and it was best to keep it at bay. Work was the answer. I needed to get to my office and try to develop a new format for tackling the rogue threats we were getting from our outstations. The previous week, the rogues had attacked two of our affiliated packs on the other side and our warriors had been able to put things in order with minimal loss. But with the way things were going, it was going to be a matter of time before I would send my Beta out again. Since he would be going, I needed to finish the groundwork and help him with the best defence tactics he would need to finish the rogues once and for all. They were becoming a nuisance according to him. I had issued a strong warning when I became Alpha. I had let it slip that I wasn't interested in chasing after rogues as long as they respected themselves a lot not to come towards my pack or dare attack us when in procession. Beta Heimdall's P. O. V"Good morning Beta Heimdall. I have Intel." I crumpled up the note I had just read from and threw it into the fire that was slowly dying out in the fireplace. The embers, which glowed red from the previous night's fire embraced the paper and it soon turned into ashes. It was time to move or rather, time to start moving. The note had been from one of the spies I had planted among the maids, warriors and Omegas working at the castle. I began to head towards the castle as I needed to know what was going on in order to deal with it before it became something I wouldn't be able to handle. A nagging feeling kept vibrating at the back of my mind as I began to think that the Intel was probably related to the girl from the Talon pack. I soon arrived at the castle and greeted the Alpha before heading towards the roof to sharpen my claws and spears. "Good morning, Beta."I only nodded as the young man tried to salute me. He had been able to get in among my warriors due to my benevolence towards his family.
