Sorrel’s pov“Who’s your mate?“ Nathaniel asked the moment we were in our room. He was furious, ready to burn me to the ground with his stare.He was never going to love me, even after 6 months of courtship to sell this lie.“Answer me!” He barked and I flinched.“No one!” I blurted out. For two days after the rejection, it felt like I would combust into tiny pieces of flesh, but I didn’t and some part of me wished I’d do.Today I was accepting my fate.I was Luna to the Wolffang pack and I was married to Alpha Nathaniel whether I liked it or not.It was time to start acting like Luna and making sure that my people got what was required from these arrangements. Sorrel’s POVThe pack house was a mess as we tried to clean up. Blood filled the house. It was too much and too sudden that the oracle and a couple of white werewolves had to come down to the pack.They were doing the cleansing of the pack while we dragged the dead bodies out. I couldn’t keep the fact that the guard I’d seen Alpha Nathaniel with was dead.He would be so devastated and heartbroken.A total of fifteen guards and servants were dead. Sorrel’s POVI jumped to my feet and tossed the pillow and sheets on the bed. Then I quickly smoothed my hair. With a glance at the mirror, I threw the door open.My breath hitched.Sometimes I forgot how ethereal Kaine was. He had jet-black hair, and I didn’t know if he put effort into looking otherworldly every day, but he looked breathtaking. Against my very will I let my eyes commit everything about his body to memory. Sorrel’s POV“Do. Not. Touch. Me.” He growled, his veins glowing green by his neck. I stared at it, it was strange and eerie that I forgot he was strangling Kaine.And Kaine did not even miss a breath. He gently placed his hand on his brother’s and pushed him back without so much as a grunt.“This character is not fitting for an Alpha,” Kaine said. “Change it.”“I don’t take orders from you!” Nathaniel spat at Kaine who stared at him emotionlessly. It was like barking orders to a baby.Then he snapped his head and looked at me. I quickly realized what I was doing and looked away. Sorrel's POVThe market was very stressful, but we were able to get everything we needed. Kaine couldn’t exactly fume, because it wasn’t part of his nature, but he made it clear that his divine cuffs weren’t for material things.Some werewolves in the region had all gathered, so we ended up having a very big celebration.
