He let out a low growl as I glare at him for a second longer, before removing the blade from between his legs. I look over across the clearing as wolves start to slowly make their way through the trees. As I scan over all the wolves, my eyes stop on this brown and black wolf, with white tip ears. Memories start to fill my head of the day I was attracted. That's the wolf that attacks me that day. That wolf hunted my dreams for so many years.

So, seeing him sitting dazed on the woodland floor, cradling his torn-up and bloodied arm, I knew instantly that something wasn't right. The moment I gazed into that mega wolf's eyes; I knew it was Freya. I mean it had to be, or at the very least another hunter. See, it had eyes exactly the same as our own. They were ice blue in color, and they had our signature white vortex swirling around the pupil. There was no way that any hunter could say that they didn't recognize them eyes, we all have them just before we ascend.

Each beat is further apart, making me sleepy. “Don’t worry, little brother. We’ll take good care of her when you’re gone.” His eyes are cold and empty. I don’t get along with Skylar, but he’s my brother. How could he do this to me? To my mate? Over his shoulder, I notice movement. I blink slowly and look past him, still trying to suck in as much air as I can get. I can barely focus, but I’m pretty sure I see the largest wolf I have ever seen. Its fur is black as black as onyx with blue eyes, or are they purple? Next to the black wolf is a smaller, dark brown wolf. It looks like Rocky, but with a broader chest. But hopefully, this would just be the standard, run-of-the-mill, confused rogue. We followed the scent to a rocky hill that turned into a mountain, continuing up some rugged terrain. We dug our sharp claws into the stone, making our way up quickly and efficiently, stopping at a plateau partway up. Resting on the ledge, looking over the forested land, was a she-wolf with thick, dark-brown fur and icy-blue eyes. The three of us instantly surrounded her as she got up onto her four legs, turning to face us. She slowly moved her head, making eye contact with each of us one by one, her face emotionless.

And when the black wolf turned towards Mara, she could see glowing green eyes staring at her. It titles its head to the side, looking almost curious. Even though there was barely any moonlight under the thick canopy of trees, Mara could easily see the black wolf against the white backdrop of snow. The wolf looked solid and proud. Its tall, pointed ears were tensed, seeming to twitch at the tiniest noise. Its long, black snout slightly sniffed Mara’s direction, and its broad chest was visible as the wolf stood tall. Mara’s breath seemed to return to her. She couldn’t explain how, but the green eyes felt familiar. Almost safe. She tried to rack her brain for where she’d seen eyes like that bef

Fearful for what she might find, Sheila brought her hand to her son's eyes, startled to see them neon blue with scratches like in an ice cube, and as if she knew what was coming, began to back out of the tent. The black wolf finally met his rival, another black wolf just like himself, but the difference was in his neon blue eyes with flames scratched inside them. The two faced each other until the wolf with the ordinary eyes stepped forward, he thought there was a wolf there, but when he jumped on it,he went through it and fell face first into the ground. Confused, he started to walk around like a common dog and when he faced the other's eyes, he saw a kind of mist surrounding the other and

Slowly and cautiously, I turned around and met with a pair of silver eyes. My mouth went dry and blood ran cold in my veins. Those eyes were not humans’. They were of a wolf. The wolf was massive and his furs were concealed by the haze of night. All I could see was his orbs which glittered like fireballs in the midnight sky. Molten lava in hue. The color of danger. But unlike the fireballs, they possessed no warmth, only a cold bloodlust.

When I reached there, a gasp left my mouth as I saw her standing on her four legs, transformed into her unique wolf. Her wolf was half-white and half-black with two different colored eyes, one blue and one golden. Golden eyes on the black side and blue ones on the white side. There was a crescent moon on her forehead that shone brightly as a blue gleam had been coming out of her mark. Blue and golden aura has been coming out of her wolf's body.

What they see makes them pause, disbelief seizing their faces. Oto, the large, dark-furred wolf, growls fiercely at the Major Archon. His eyes gleam with a wild, defiant light. His jaws are open, displaying his sharp fangs in a clear sign of rejection. The Major Archon attempts to connect with him, but Oto resists. His growl intensifies, a sound that reverberates in the air, full of challenge and defiance.

I stood there, panting, chest heaving. “Elena!” I turned. A copper-furred wolf with slitted eyes was snarling in my direction. For one insane moment, I thought it was Nox. Then I saw him. A monstrous black wolf tore through the wreckage like a storm given flesh, his coat so dark it drank in the light, save for the stark white streak slicing over his right ear like a battle scar carved by the gods. He was fast—so fast it took my breath away—and impossibly large. When he hit the rogue, it was like watching a wall collapse on top of a twig.
