A blood-red contract rune formed in the air before it. "Serve me, and I will give you true freedom. Defy me, and you'll suffer a torment worse than any seal." The Rage Spirit stared at the blood-red rune, feeling the terrifying power within it. This was a Blood Oath, a pact only the royal bloodline could command. Sign it, and your soul is bound to me. But betray this oath, and your soul will be torn to shreds. "I... I choose to serve," it said, dropping to one knee and pressing its energy signature into the rune.

Weston, too, entered, his expression torn between pride and hunger. The officiant—one of Magnolia’s pale companions, eyes as empty as glass—held out the knife. Not ornate, but simple, sharp, ancient. Savannah extended her hand. The blade slid over her palm, and blood welled, rich and crimson. She let it fall into the basin. Magnolia repeated the gesture, her blood mingling with Savannah’s. Then Weston. The basin shimmered, as though the three streams of life had ignited something unseen. “Once mixed,” intoned the officiant, “there is no division. The oath is eternal. You will rise and fall together.”

At its center, a round obsidian stone reflected the evening light calmly, as if awaiting the blood and oaths that would be placed upon it. The pack members stood in a circle, dressed in midnight blue ceremonial robes. A soft chant in an ancient language echoed from the mouths of the elders carrying leaf-shaped lanterns, glowing with small silver flames symbolizing blessing and hope. Among them, Alpha Aric stood tall, waiting for me with a gaze full of trust.

Ophelia stood on the eastern arc, palms slick despite the chill. Maeve and Ash hovered just beyond the cordon of guards. On the western arc, Caroline appeared flanked by two retainers, her hair braided in austere coils, sable cloak hiding manacles. Beta Hawthorne stalked behind her, jaw set like quarried stone. Dylan stepped into the center. Moonlight still lingered, pale against the rising sun, enough to sanctify the vow. His voice carried without effort.
