Behind me, Bram was fiddling with a dagger-turned-screwdriver he’d been using to adjust some kind of wrist-mounted explosive. “Personally, I think they’re kind of awesome. Explosives and divine prophecy? Sign me up.”
Corin gave him a flat look. “We’re not a fireworks show.”
“You say that,” Bram muttered, “but if I had enough phosphorous—”
“Focus,” I interrupted, my voice sharper than I intended. “Lazriel’s right. We need to talk about what we learned.”
