Everyone is just happily pushing me straight toward an early grave. My head was still spinning from the argument with Dylan, anger boiling hot under my skin as I walked blindly down the street, not even paying attention to where I was going. And then— Thud. I bumped straight into someone. “Ouch!” I yelped, stumbling back a step. Great. Just great. Another problem. Suddenly I heard a loud scream. “Ahhh!” I blinked, startled, as a middle-aged man staggered backward like I’d hit him with a truck instead of a simple shoulder bump.

I quickly ran away because I had nowhere to hide, but when I turned the corner, I bumped into someone and fell to the floor. "Are you alright?" A male voice asked. I wince in pain. My butt hit the floor hard. I looked up, and my eyes widened to see the same man I bumped the other day. "You!" We said at the same time, and we both chuckled. He held his hand to me, and I accepted it, and he pulled me up. "Why do we keep bumping into each other?" He asked, smiling. "Sorry, sir. It's my fault. I'm not looking where I am going."

He drove off as I made my way toward the entrance. Someone bumped harshly into my shoulder, and the girl hissed, “I see that you’re now fucking around. Who’s the guy? Hmm?” Staring at her, I remembered I had only interacted with her once, and now she bumped into me without even apologizing, which meant it was intentional. I didn’t answer her. I was about to walk away, only a step or two away from her, when another girl appeared out of nowhere, blocking my path. I frowned heavily.

I took the path that led to the parking lot and just as I was about to go through the corner, someone bumped into me accidentally causing me to almost trip. His eyes narrowed, his expression stiff like I was the one who caused the collision. “I’m sorry,” I said quickly, nodding in apology. “I didn’t mean to.” He didn’t say a word. Just stared at me—cold and creepy.

I snapped out of my thoughts as I rushed to get my coffee after I felt my phone vibrating and my alarm tone filled my ear. ‘Shit!’ The break time is over and I'm still here. My boss would be damn mad if he doesn't see me on my table right on time! I was hurrying to leave the cafe when misfortune struck me and I bumped into someone else's arm! The coffee nearly got into me, but as much as I am thankful, not the person I bumped into.

I look around for Josephine and I see her sending signals to me that she’s leaving for the restroom and I should just take a seat and wait, so I’m about to take my seat when someone bumps into me not-so-gently from the back. Now take note, I can be a grade-A bitch, especially when things like this happen, and especially when I'm still nursing the aftermath of my almost depressive episode moments again. I want to scream at this stranger because why would you just shove someone and not even have the guts to say something? That’s the question I want to ask whoever it is that just barged in and almost fell me.

I’m so out of it that I don’t even realize that I’m almost going to walk straight into someone, until the collision actually happens. My head bumps into solid surface, making me release a small ouch. I look up to see a man holding an umbrella, trying to get a proper look at my face. I scrunch up my nose, knowing that I had just bumped into the man’s chest. “Sorry.” I say, without really sounding apologetic. Just when I’m about to walk away, the man speaks up. “Rose?” I know that voice. I turn around slowly, wishing with all my might that it’s not him. That I haven’t just been found at my weakest by him.

I ran into someone as we were leaving the restaurant, knocking her phone on the ground. I apologized as I was about to pick up her phone but I froze seeing the background picture of the phone. "Cami?" I turned to face the person I had unintentionally bumped into and gasped silently. Shit.
