His dark chestnut brown curls tumbled past his shoulders and his brown/black eyes raked over her hungrily. ‘Get back over that fucking rail and stop worrying my crew.’

Caleb said humbly "Do and get yourself a mate, I beat love will look good on you better than it looks on me" Alex joked Caleb could swear that it was the first time Alex had ever spoken like that with a joke in his tone to anyone not even Sophia "Actually I felt strange today when I went to check on the patrol team at the border we share with light moon tribe, I was as if the atmosphere changed and I scented my mate, but it quickly passed so I was unable to follow it" Caleb narrated

Caleb was at the house in twenty minutes. He had his notebook and a map of the territory, which told me he'd already been working on the problem before he even arrived. "Forty-five seconds is a tight window," Caleb pointed out. "But it's real if the outer perimeter shifts to respond to the north push the way it would naturally. Everyone's attention goes north. The eastern group enters clean. Blake uses the second gap to move on Amelia." He looked at Kaden. "He's not coming for the pack. He's coming for her specifically."

He growled in response, pounding harder, making me scream again. “Yes, Caleb—yes!” I shouted, not caring if the whole world heard. I didn’t even care if anyone in the hallway or outside would hear. His body shuddered, sweat dripping, his breath wild in my ear. He was losing himself, just like me. Our scents became even stronger now. ~~~~~ Caleb’s POV I couldn’t stop. His cries drove me insane. Each sound made me thrust deeper, harder, until I thought he would break apart with my size. My name on his lips was a prayer, a curse, a salvation all in one. I wanted them all.

Caleb was already shifting, bones cracking under his skin. I didn’t move. I just smiled. “Good,” I said. “Let’s see if they can bleed.”

The Rogue didn't say anything and instead continued to struggle against Caleb's grip. “I'm not going to ask you again” “Fuck you” The Rogue spat out and in a swift moment, I heard a sickening crack and then a snap as the rogue cried out. Caleb had ripped his arm off. I winced and turned away. I'd never been a fan of gore or torture. Just then, the rest of Caleb's hunt party arrived. “We're taking him back alive. He's refusing to talk” Caleb said simply as he stood up, adjusting his black shirt. They lifted up the rogue and left when Caleb signaled for them to do so.

“That’s eight figures, Cross. Real money. Even for us.” Julian’s smile is slow and cruel. “They’re calling it the Black Run. A full sweep. Clean through Twelve. Sponsors are salivating. She’s hot, she’s new, she’s got trauma written all over her. They think she’s the first wildcard to actually make it.”

“Run!!! Through there. Scale the wall. They’re closing in!!” Wails filled the air as they had grown tired; running for so long would take its toll on anyone most especially children. Some of us knew what we had done to deserve this, others didn’t. I know we don’t have much time but we can only try. Another one has fallen, another caught. Who will save us? HOSEA

She crossed one of her legs over the other. "It's time for her to know the true definition of her daughter. I'll make her see through me whether she likes it or not." I chuckled delightfully, positively imagining the supposed successful outcome of Sally's idea.
